I had Sam as my guide and he was warm, funny, friendly, and smart - he even learned every participant's name! The tour was on a cold, rainy day-a perfect activity because 99% of the tour was inside (he would have done more outside but we were too cold and wet). Thanks for providing this service...Chelsea market is a real NYC gem for foodies! Ann Turner, Chevy Chase, MD

The tour stopped at a great selection of shops--so the food we tasted were really fantastic. Come hungry!

i really enjoyed the food tour. the only suggestion i would liek to pose is to not do two pizza restaurants on the tour. i understand these places probably are the simplest to do a sampling at but i think it would have been nicer to have a sample at a different type of restaurant. i am really excited to go back and try all the restaurants that were featured on the tour.

tour included enough sampling to provide a decent meal and was very tasty. our guide knew enough interesting info about each shop and the historic village to keep us well entertained. i would recommend this to anyone as long as you are able to do the walking.

Loved the tour. Bought at the stores after the tour with the discount they provided tour members so our NY hosts could also enjoy the wonderful food. Now we are continuing to order via the internet with our discount so we can share the great food with our California neighbors. Who doesn't like to eat? We are already planning to take some of the other tours on future trips to NY. Keep up the good work.

Mother and daughter absolutely LOVED the tour

Our tour guide was wonderful. She was energetic, helpful, informative and entertaining. The cultural aspect of the tour was as fun and interesting as the food aspect. I was surprised that I liked the Thai chicken noodle dumplings and the rice ball. Neither one are items I ever would have eaten on my own. If I return to New York, I would strongly consider signing up for either the same tour if I was with my husband or a different food tour if I returned with my daughter.

The Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District tour was a great time. I live in NYC and took family to this. I'd recommend it to out-of-towners and New Yorkers alike. Our guide, Cyndi, was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgable.

The tour was well paced lead by an impressive tour guide with an incredible nack for names. The only suggestion I would make is that the tour ended back at the market. If we had ended back at the market, I believe we would have made some purchases. Great day overall.

This tour was without a doubt the highlight of my 5 night stay in new york, and it had a lot to contend with, including Phantom of the Opera, a Gospel tour of Harlem, and a sunny day in Central Park. Our tour guide Mike was a real Grenwich character with a great sense of humour, an obvious love for food, a wonderful knowledge of the place and it's history, and a wonderful singing voice to top it all off. This tour was unique to me in that i never really felt like i was on a tour with all that awkwardness of being in a group of people's company who you don't know and will only be with for a very short period of time. To the contrary it felt like a stroll around Grenwich food shopping with some friends. As for the food well i could go on and on and on and......well it was to die for. The pizza was fantastic, the olive oil amazing, i can hardly contain myself when i think about the chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven so that the outside was crisp and the inside soft with chocolate chips melting perfectly as you break it apart...ooohhhhhhhh yeah, and the finale in the cheese shop where i got to try a canole for the first time...let's just say that canole was worth the price alone, although you could of course get it a lot cheaper. But then you'd miss out on all the other things that made this tour something i will never forget. We also went back to one of the restraunts, Palma, which was on the tour and the food was sooooo good and very reasonably priced. I'm only sorry we didn't do this tour on our first day in new york so i could have sampled so much more of the places we saw on the tour. My final word, if you like really good food, in a wonderful neighbourhood, with an entertaining friendly most certainly won't be dissapointed. Bon Appetit.

This food tour was great - it is all walking, but with lots of stops on the way. The various foods were great, and our tour guide knew so much information - things I never thought about before. My dtr went with me, and she lives here in NY, she found it very informative as well. Also a lot of fun!!

The group was mixed with family, couples from the US, Israel and us from Muenster, Germany. We had a very enthusiastic guide who was able to give us a mix of informations concerning architecture, food, history and even famous people living in Greenwich Village. Though the tour was three hours long it was never boring and always fun to follow the routes, tales and stories. Our questions were answered as good as possible and at the end of the day we knew almost everything about Greenwich Village! During our one week stay in NYC we came back several times and even had a hole pizza from Joe`s Pizza! Very yummy!

Great food, great history of Greenwich Village

I've done this tour before and I enjoyed it both times. This time, our guide was EXTREMELY informative, even more than my last tour guide, and it was fun to hear so much historical information; however, I felt that the food was a less significant part of the tour than the last time I took it. Previously, it seemed we were moving constantly from place to place. This time, we stopped for long periods to discuss various sights. I would have preferred to keep it moving and perhaps have a couple more tastings. I didn't feel as 'full' this time as I did the last tour. Also, while I enjoyed both types of pizza that we tried, it was a bit redundant. Last time, we stopped at a kabob (?) place and had a small gyro type tasting which was delicious. I missed that. However, I loved the addition of the olive oil shop...that was awesome. My friend and I went back and made purchases. The cannoli at the end of the tour while at the cheese shop was delicious, but I would have preferred to see the shop where it was made, rather than it being handed to me at the cheese shop. Overall, great tour. Looking forward to trying the other tours.

the tour was great, appreciate the glorious weather (!) and Cindy's knowledge of history made the event even better. I was also pleased that the store/restuarant owners seemd so thrilled to have us ... the all seemed to take an interest in us and were enthusiastic about their place!

I didnt really care for Aphrodesia - that was a stop I wish I missed... no food, uninterested store owner, very narrow window of interest

I'll be on another tour the next time Im back!
