This is worth every penny. Our tour guide Dianna was so knowledgable and friendly. The amount of food you receive is more than enough for lunch and so delicious. We are booking a second tour right now.

Great way to spend a hot afternoon in-between a.m. and p.m. activities. Learned some great history and cultural 'tidbits'. Food was wonderful, with pointers on what else was choice in the area. My friend has food allergies, and not only were these addressed most satisfactorily, Susan always made a point of 'presenting' her's first like she was the special one, not the different one.Susan did a great job and knows her food and her area. You can tell she is a native. We felt almost like locals going back again. It is a very good way to learn a neighborhood. Add more great tours!

Food & history - a great combo Greenwich Village
Wed, Jul 6, 11   12:00 PM lryder Unspecified Unspecified Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
We loved our food tour in Greenwich Village! (family of 4 with 12 and 18 yr olds). A little off the beaten track....not as crowded as the 'major attractions'. We tasted the simple (NY pizza and chocolate chip cookies), the eclectic (risotto balls and dates stuffed gorganzola) and the divine (Italian cannoli)!

Bert was our tour guide and was enthusiastic from start to finish. He happily answered all questions about the tour and NYC in general. It was hot but he never faltered. Bert lead us on a multi-faceted tour. Every street was a destination whether we were tasting delicious food, getting the lowdown on neighborhood restaurants and shops of all kinds or learning about the history of Village architecture. It was a highlight of our trip.

Later that evening we went back to one of the neighborhood restaurants that Bert had told us about....there really was a 1700's farmhouse 'out back' annexed to the restaurant courtyard and surrounded by modern buildings!! Who knew. And the food there was superb....so that meal was a highlight of our trip too.

It was a good day in NYC!

Chelsea Market Meatpacking Dist. Tour was great!

In a nutshell, we loved this tour! This is the third Foods of New York Tour we have taken and once again they have hit a home run with the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District Tour. Our guide, Diana, was wonderful. She was both entertaining and extremely well versed in every aspect of the tour, including the history and cultural aspects of the market and the surrounding Meatpacking area. We sampled foods from a wide variety of food shops and restaurants in and around the Chelsea Market -- all of which were absolutely delicious! To top the great food off, we gained facinating insights into the development of the businesses, artwork and architecture in the marketplace and the surrounding area.

17 yr. old boy and girl, mom and dad from Los Angeles all loved this tour! Tour guide, Diana, was great! Interesting information about many aspects of the Meatpacking District including real estate (creative thinking, risk, history, current), dead bodies, art, sex, and, of course, food. The food was really excellent and we were absolutely stuffed! Great use of time and money.

This tour is not only informative but fun. It is a great way to learn about different areas of NYC. My entire group really enjoyed the tour and will not only recommend it to friends but also look forward to going on another one of the tours.

Sensational

From the first 2 minutes when our guide, Kirk, had memorised 12 participants names and their country of origin, (as well as the 4 people - and their country of origin - WHO HADN'T EVEN ARRIVED!!!), he had us "eating" out of his hand. His enthusiasm was infectious, his local and food knowledge extraordinary, and his delivery flawless. A true professional. Would recommend this tour to anyone interested in this area of New York - the three hours flew by and we all wanted more!

After Prom Restaurant Tour

The kids in my daughter's prom group wanted to go to NYC for the day after prom. One of the planned activities was the Chelsea Tasting Tour. The kids had a great time. They raved about their tour guide and the tastings they received. It was a wonderful way to start their day in the city. Even though they attended other events while in the city, the Chelsea Tasting Tour was the high-light of their day. Thank you for your time and efforts.

It was really hot but that did not interfere with the tour. Loved every minute and would definitely do it again. I used to go to NYU and this tour brought back many good memories.

Fun, exciting, historical and unbelievable food!
Mon, May 23, 11   12:00 PM Lynnragsdale Female Unspecified Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Our tour guide, Cindy, was extremely knowledgeable about the Village and the history surrounding it. She knew everyone on the street and obviously had a good relationship with them. The food was all so different and we met the owners of most establishments. One of the best things I have ever done in New York!
