We had the most hilatiouse tour guide ever. Haven't laughed like that in a while. She was a character and a local New Yorker. The food places and restaurants she took us to, where friendly, cheerful and very local. The food ofcourse was great. I really recommend this tour not just because of the food, we got a nice little educational trip as well. Wouldn't recommend for kids but for any kind of occasion.

My partner and I traveled to nyc to take in the sights and flavors of the city. We couldnt be happier with the result. We learned so much about the neighborhoods we felt like we were there when they were established. The tastings were a foodies delight and we went back to several during our stay and had meals there. A special thanks to our tour guide. She really knows her stuff. We would highly recommend this to anyone.

I found this tour on Trip Advisor. I did a little more research and then booked the tour. You never know what you're going to get with these tours so I kept my fingers crossed and headed out to meet the guide. Talk about blind luck! Bob, our guide, was awesome. Not only did we visit several bakeries and restaurants, but he gave an amazing history lesson along the way. He was very creative in his story telling and kept our interest the entire tour. I had read several complaints about the food being skimpy, but it wasn't by far and after all it's a tasting, not a dinner! I highly recommend this tour and wil be trying my luck again with one of the other locations on my next trip to NYC!

Absolutely loved the tour and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food and learning more about the neighborhood. My guide, Susan, was friendly and very informative. There was considerable noise that she had to talk over due to street construction, but even with that, the tour was enjoyable. I look forward to another tour on my next visit. More than enough to eat. Favorites: the pear chocolate tart from Once Upon a Tart, the sandwich taste from Focacceria, and the taste of Indian food from Masala Times. I appreciated the handout that lists dozens of restaurants in the Village.

The SoHo Tour was way beyond our expectations in a great way! We had a wonderful tour guide, a very knowledgeable young man who was both a real "foodie" as well as a history buff and seemed very passionate about sharing the many good things about this part of NYC, not just food! We really enjoyed strolling through Washington Square Park and learning of its history.

More food than we thought...definitely don't eat beforehand. It was a very well planned itinerary of events, ending with a wonderful "sit down" in a Cuban restaurant where we also got to talk with others in the groups as we had our empanada's....and mojito's....I would highly recommend this tour! Well worth it!

A walking tour of Greenwich Village while it's 105 degrees outside. Tough, very tough. But, the food was fantastic. Would have been nice to include more wine tastings. Nice tidbits of info on Greenwich Village that you could probably have gotten by Googling. If you are looking for info/background on the different types of restaurants and other eateries in the village, take the tour.

Bob was very nice. Informative as well. It seemed as if we were on a tour of not only good food but of his friends food. That made it more personal.

I would just change the order a tad.....

pizza at the beginning, milk and cookies in the middle, and pizza at the end....

it was hard to eat the pizza at the end. I say end with milk and cookies

Our tour guide, Sapphra, was charming, enthusiastic, and extremely knowledgeable of the area and the foods associated with the area. My wife and I learned a lot, and even went back to the village today to sample some more of what was to be enjoyed in Greenwich Village. Very nice.

Took the Greenwich Tour In September '09 with friends and this time took my family. Two teenage girls and my husband loved it. Said the tour was the highlight of our 2-day stay in NY. The Meatpacking District/Chelsea Market tour is also fantastic.

My 12 year old daughter and I we returning to NY for her dance team, and we wanted to do something other than shop. (Can you believe it!) My friend had taken this food tour last year and highly recommended it, so we decided to try it. After all who doesn't enjoy food? My main concern was walking for 3 hours, and would my feet survive. The tour is set up in a way that you are not just walking and tasting. You walk, taste, and pause to learn a little bit about the culture.

The guide was courteous, punctual and knowledgable about the area. There was plenty of food, absolutely palatable to anyones taste. We also learned about the history and architecture of the area, which was enlightening.

I would recommend this tour to seniors that can ambulate without diffculty, couples, and families with children who have a good attention span. Some of the places that we visited were small, and became crowded quite quickly.
