what a treat!!

I had taken this tour 10 years ago and it is still fabulous!! A wonderfully detailed way to get to know a neighborhood and so tasty!! The cook at Palma even made us wonderful blueberry muffins, totally unexpectedly. I was with native New Yorkers and they loved getting to know their city in such a focused way. My only 'complaint' is that it would be better to keep the group to around 10 folks, instead of 16.

thank you so much, Marie! You did an awesome job.

Great tour, not only did I discover some great places to eat and shop but I also learned a lot about the area, which i did not expect. Sometimes being in a big city like NYC can be overwhelming but this was just what I needed to make the city more personal for me.

Our guide was informative and friendly. The food was more than enough for lunch. We really enjoyed the tips and coupons for places in the area. That will really help on a return visit.

This was our second walking tour with your company. Chelsea Market was very neat, loved hearing about the area and the food was GREAT. We had a variety of food. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. He amazed me how he continued to remember everyones name. He keep the conversations going and was very energetic and exciting! He did a great job. I would really recommend this tour to everyone. Looking forward to the next time we are in NYC!

Food Tour was good

Food portion of the tour was good; I would have liked more inclusion of more food-related stops and less lengthy lecture on the surrounding buildings, ironwork, artists, politicians, the Bronx, etc.

Our tour guide did a great job of creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We liked the way she engaged members of the group, especially the children. Given her professinal background in the culinary arts, she was able to bring considerable knowledge to a discussion of the foods we tasted and the restaurants in the neighborhood.

The architectural features of the historic buildings that she pointed out were well chosen -- enough detail to bring an era to life, but not so much as to be overwhelming. We came away with a feeling of connectedness to the area, so much so, that an article in Tuesday's New York Times about the South Village turned us into preservation advocates.

We plan to return to NY for another food tour, and for dinner at one of the neighborhood restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Great guide - poor food choices

was not that impressed with the food choices - lots of bread and carbs, with little 'authenticity" to the tour itself

great guide - she was very knowledgable and inclusive.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable, and the food was delicious and diverse. The neighborhood was quaint and the history & culture were very interesting. Had a great experience meeting new people, touring the area and tasting different foods!

Be prepared to EAT!

There was so much good food on this tour that many people in our group almost groaned from being so full when our guide said there were three more tastings left. Once we got the food the groaning ended. I loved how there was a good mix of sweet, savory and everyhing in between. The guide was great and gave us history of the area (more that was expected) and that was a welcome treat. They were also great at accomodating special dietary needs as long as you tell them when you buy your tickets. I would recommed this to anyone - tourist or people that live in the city. There might be someplace you never thought of going to before.

The Chelsea Market and Meat Packing District Tour was fantastic! My sister-in-law and I are from NJ and love spending time in NYC, so we are always looking for things to do over there. I came across the food tasting tours while "surfing the net". This tour is well worth the time and money spent. We just loved the market and the changes made to the surrounding area. There were enough tastings included in the tour that you could surely bypass lunch and go for a wonderful dinner in one of the many area restaurants. Our tour guide, Todd, was just great and so informative. He always kept the interest level high throughout the entire 3 hour tour. Great job! I have recommended this tour to all friends and family. When thinking of a great gift, this tour goes right to the top of my list. I will definitely try out the other tours offered.

Great tour...90% of why it was great can be attributed to Diana, the tour guide. She should teach other guides how it's done!

Too much food

Hello

I think this tour has too many food stops, and not enough cultural information. I also think all the places visited are part of a publicity tour. $40.00 is too much. The tour guide was very good, and knowledgeble. Greenwich village has so much to offer, and this tour did not met my expectation.

Thank you

What a great way to get a taste of the city!

We thoroughly enjoyed the walk through Greenwich Village, and we especially loved the food samples. This was a really wonderful way to get to know a NYC neighborhood a little more intimately than we would have if we'd wandered around the streets by ourselves.

We look forward to trying another Foods of NY tour the next time we come back to the city.
