Much more than we expected! The food was fabulous, the tour guide was very knowlegeable, enthusiatic and loads of fun to spend time with. The other people on our tour were very nice. We had a wonderful time and are already booking another tour.

I live in New York temporarily and my daughter is studying at college in another city. I booked this tour for the two of us because we're both interested in food and we've done nothing like this before. She's been to New York several times and has visited most of the tourist attractions. But she has never enjoyed herself so much as she did on this tour. We tasted a variety of food. The things we loved the most were the fresh tomato pizza from Joe's, olive twist from Amy's Bread, rice ball from Faicco's and the big cookie from Milk and Cookies Bakery. The tour guide was great. She was caring and talked clearly. She took (introduced) us to restaurants and shops that we ourselves would pass and probably never notice. The walk along the serene leafy streets in west village was another highlight of the tour. We learned a lot and took some good photos. Acturally my daughter was so inspired by the tour that she is thinking of starting the same tour in my home country!

Mixed feelings

I thought the food tour was a pretty good experience. I have done other food tours though and enjoyed those more. I thought there should be a bit more substantive food provided. I also thought the guide could have done better to provide places to stand in the shade. Often when we stopped to talk we were in the hot sun and it was hard to enjoy the history being provided. I don't regret the tour but I'm not sure I would do it again with this company.

We had so much fun on the food tour! Walking, learning about the history of the Village and of course - eating!! The food was so good and it was really interesting to hear about the history of the area and the places we stopped at. Very nice NYC day!

This was our first time in NYC and this tour was a great starter tour that gave us a wonderful insight to Greenwich, the great food they offer and some history as well. We loved the village feel Greenwich has and can see why it is a desirable area to visit. We truly enjoyed the entire tour and would recommend it to anyone. Definitely wear comfortable shoes, as you are on your feet for almost the entire three hours!

Bert, our tour guide, made all the difference in this tour. The food was fantastic, but he was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all things Greenwich Village. We learned tons! Great job!

The food tastes are soo delicious and amazingly light. I love the natural lighting in some of the places we visited making the tasting that much more inviting. I'm definitely going to revisit some of these places.

Had a great time on this tour. Learned about the area, loved the samples of food. Kurt, our guide, was fabulous. Wonderfully enthusiastic, knowledgeable, fun. The other people on the tour were friendly and warm. The weather was perfect. Looking forward to another tour before the weather gets too cold.

Feel this was great value for money - and an insight into a tiny piece of New York - made me realise how long it would take to really get to know this city as we covered a miniscule part and there was so much to learn. Really liked our guide and the richness of her knowledge.

This was the second food tour we've done with our adult children but the first with this particular company. We really enjoyed this one because the tour guide (Marie) was extremely knowlegeable/informative not only about the food selections but also about the history of the area, buildings, etc.

Great time and definitely recommend!

A cursory glance at the other reviews indicate that everybody loved whichever tour guide they got and couldn't imagine taking the tour with another one. I won't deviate from this formula: I took the Greenwich Village tour with Sephrah, and highly recommend her. She's super funny, knowledgeable, and convincingly local. (She's on most days for this tour at 11AM, FYI-- I think everyday except Thursday.) A lot of the time she got me to laugh with just the expression on her face, and she has the culinary school background to handle any questions you throw at her.

The tour was informative (granted, I knew most of the history and food trivia already, but I'm a massive dweeb.) and had just the right number of stops: nobody in my group was left hungry by the end of it, and many even had a cookie leftover for later. The selections were excellent. I had the best Mac and cheese I had ever had in my life, and I probably wouldn't have checked out most of the stops if not for this tour. The pacing was great, and even though it was a large group, still felt fairly personal. I'd recommend going on this tour towards the beginning of a trip to the city-- there will definitely be places you'll want to revisit later!

I am a part time resident, and this is one of the best things I have done in NYC.
