Tour guide Raheem was excellent, personable and very knowlegdable. Choice of restaurants great. Walking with mention of all history and notable places awesome. Diversity of experiences fantastic ie food, drinks, coffee beans etc, like several short visits.

Interesting tour

We booked the tour because of many positive reviews on TripAdvisor.

It was interesting, our guide very entusiastic and quite knowlegable .Though the whole thing seemed a little industrial conveyor-like. Many tours with just 30 min interval; it seemed somewhat over-exploited.

The tour was informative and the food was delicious and interesting. The best part of the tour was our guide, Cindy! She was a delight for our group - even the teenagers thought she was amazing - personable and funny. Highly recommend this tour and lucky you if you get Cindy as your guide!

I live in New York temporarily and my daughter is studying at college in another city. I booked this tour for the two of us because we're both interested in food and we've done nothing like this before. She's been to New York several times and has visited most of the tourist attractions. But she has never enjoyed herself so much as she did on this tour. We tasted a variety of food. The things we loved the most were the fresh tomato pizza from Joe's, olive twist from Amy's Bread, rice ball from Faicco's and the big cookie from Milk and Cookies Bakery. The tour guide was great. She was caring and talked clearly. She took (introduced) us to restaurants and shops that we ourselves would pass and probably never notice. The walk along the serene leafy streets in west village was another highlight of the tour. We learned a lot and took some good photos. Acturally my daughter was so inspired by the tour that she is thinking of starting the same tour in my home country!

A Little Spicy, A Little Sweet
Wed, Dec 28, 05   11:30 AM zguest Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
"Please can we have more?" Yes! Thanks to Cindy - the so accommodating village native - the time just flew as we munched tempting tastings and soaked up historical tidbits. For us Oregonians, this was a great way to get a slice of the Big Apple - a little spicy, a little sweet and no indigestion! Afterwards, we shopped for cheeses, olives, french bread, chocolates, pastries, ice cream and coffee. Our memories still linger...

Greenwhich Food Tour with RJ

RJ was amazing: Funny, called us by names, gives a lot of history and info, and we eat some very nice food, which he gives very detailed background on each, and gives good suggestions. Would highly recommend this tour, and RJ as the guide.

I would recommend doing this tour on the first full day, so you get a strong background and food taste of this area, before doing a full walking tour of New York with another company, as you will likely eat in this area with them anyways (that is if they are a good tour company as this is fantastic area to eat).

Mixed feelings
Mon, Jun 30, 14   2:30 PM zettiegirl Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
I thought the food tour was a pretty good experience. I have done other food tours though and enjoyed those more. I thought there should be a bit more substantive food provided. I also thought the guide could have done better to provide places to stand in the shade. Often when we stopped to talk we were in the hot sun and it was hard to enjoy the history being provided. I don't regret the tour but I'm not sure I would do it again with this company.

This was our first time in NYC and this tour was a great starter tour that gave us a wonderful insight to Greenwich, the great food they offer and some history as well. We loved the village feel Greenwich has and can see why it is a desirable area to visit. We truly enjoyed the entire tour and would recommend it to anyone. Definitely wear comfortable shoes, as you are on your feet for almost the entire three hours!

Bert, our tour guide, made all the difference in this tour. The food was fantastic, but he was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all things Greenwich Village. We learned tons! Great job!
