Nice time on the water

Really pleasant time on the water. Relaxing and informative. The captain had just the right amount of historical information to keep it interesting without overloading me.

Boat Ride

Okay if you want a boat ride out and back with some information read off a script. They do a couple trivia questions for a snack bar treat. There was some lull time and we had to stand most of the trip. All of the deck seating was taken so several people had to stand. There was inside seating but windows pretty dirty to see out of and if you tend to get motion sick better to be outside.

Great weekend afterall!

We were in Charleston for the weekend and expected thunderstorms. God changed that for us to sun and a wonderful carriage ride with only a little spritzy rain on Sally and DeeDee, the horses and our great driver, Jenny. Such a closeup view of historical Charleston with great background details to learn. The Harbor tour was awesome as the sun broke through and the wind picked up. We rode among the diving dolphins, the sailboat race, passed the historical forts and landmarks, watched the three-masted schooner sailing nearby(my next harbor ride), passed the Yorktown and Patriot's Park, and enjoyed watching the huge roll roll carrier ship that came into port during our cruise ready for more BMW's to roll on board to go to Europe from Greer,SC. the cool finale was when the Captain blew the loudest horn directly under the suspension bridge and we could hear it echo over and over! Great job narrating, Captains!

Excellent Tour

The experience was wonderful. The Captain did an excellent job of providing a historical perspective of the Charleston harbor, settlement of the area, and the forts protecting the harbor in the 1700 and 1800's. We were able to get close to Fort Sumpter and see the remains/historical park. We also had the pleasure of having dolphins with our boat the entire trip.

Nice Experience

The carriage ride was fun, the driver was very kind and informative. The staff at the Red Barn and parking facility were very helpful. We didn't know there were 3 different zones and in the future would prefer to know ahead of time which area the carriage would be traveling through -- we might have waited for the next carriage to be able to chose.

The harbor tour was fun, comfortable options for seating and loved the ability to see so many dolphins up close. Fun to see the city from the water as well as from the streets.

Recommend the combined tours -- especially for those who have never been to the city. It gives you a very good idea of what you'd like to see later in the day - or another day -- and very much helps to familiarize you with the city and key attractions.

We had a very nice time. Not only did we learn a great deal on the tour, we were also treated to the sighting of several dolphins. The boat was comfortable and seating choices were varied.

Our combo trip included a carriage tour of downtown and a harbor tour by boat. Guides and assistants on both tours were friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and efficient. We enjoyed both tours so much!

Harbor tour was excellent !

Really enjoyed harbor tour and highly recommend it. We took the harbor tour at noon with a reservation, and were told to just show up afterwards for the carriage ride, they leave every 20 minutes. When we arrived prior to 1:30 p.m., we were told the earliest we could go the was at 4:40 pm. When I told them we had a dinner reservation at 6 pm,they suggested we change it to later. It had been the only time available. We accepted a refund and did not do the carriage ride. We felt we should have been told up front that we would have to wait until 4:40 and we would not have set up the combo.

the charleston harbor tour is a must for travelers to the low country... the narrated 90 minute tour provides historical information about the area and wonderful panoramic views of the shoreline and you might even spot a dolphin or two along the way!

I got sick on the way to Charleston on Wed. We spent Thursday in the hotel and decided to return home on Friday. We were very sad that there was no way to get a return on our ticket. I understand your need to collect in advance on reservations, but when a circumstance happens that can't be helped it is difficult. I had put out $79 that we did not have to spend, yet my husband was trying to give me an overnight get away for my birthday. Just sad at the way your company works and if we do get to return, we will not make any advance reservations with your company because of this instance.
