Charleston should be seen by WATER and Land
Sun, Jul 13, 14   9:30 AM kathybreuer Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Was a great 1.5 hour tour of the important Charleston harbor from a historic view as well as a view of its importance today in the world of commerce and ecology. Can't imagine going to Charleston and not taking to the harbor...sort of misses the point! The 6 dolphins we encountered riding our waves stole the show, of course, but the captain was both knowlegable and personable with his facts and figures on this important American city.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hour that we spent with our guide. It was fascinating to see a glimpse into our early history and into the charm of the city. We would recommend the carriage ride to anybody. The boat tour was very enjoyable as well. The boat was very clean, smooth, and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was really moving to see a flag raised over Fort Sumter first thing in the morning.

Great Fourth of July Tour!

It was July 4th and it was a georgeous day for a harbor tour and carriage ride. The captain of the tour boat was

very helpful with his explanations of the sights throughout the harbor and the crew very friendly. They made you feel like you were really welcome. The carriage ride was not my first but I always learn something new with each trip. I feel both are a must if you want to see Charleston.

Our morning cruise was rescheduled due to weather with no difficulty. Tour staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend this tour to anyone with a desire to see dolphins, cranes diving for fish, and a different view of Charleston!

We enjoyed the Carriage Ride through Charleston, the Boat ride was a pleasant way to finish the day, We visited the Plantation the following Day which was very interesting. Unfortunately rain caused us to not get the carriage ride around the plantation, but they did provide tickets so we could return.

Best way to "do" Charleston...especially if short on time and weather as is in summer HOT...this makes Charleston so much easier to "do" and informative. Both the Harbor Tour and Carriage Ride is almost all you need to want you come back to Charleston for more!!

Lovely way to show guests the Harbor

Of course much depends on the weather, but we had a beautiful evening -- the boat's staff was courteous and informative - the BBQ was good -- go down when they first put it out for the best.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this cruise

A Fantastic Way to see Charleston's Rich History
Thu, Jun 26, 14   11:30 AM kblem23 Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Both tours were a nice way to see Charleston's history. We took the Charleston Harbor Tour first, so we can grasp everything there is to know about Charleston. An added plus, free parking at the Maritime Center. The commentator was excellent and the crew was very accommodating. Lots to see and never a dull moment!

We took the Boone Hall Plantation Tour several days later. Again, to be set back in time was priceless! The staff was excellent and friendly. Tons of rich history made and to be able to enjoy our time there was very valuable.

We recommend these to everyone visiting Charleston, SC.

We really enjoyed both tours. The carriage ride was very detailed and filled with humor and insights one doesn't find on the internet or in tourist books. The guide was extremely well informed in terms history, local customs and legends. He was open to questions and delivered detailed answers. It was a lot of fun. Take this tour.

We were a group of ten local women who chose to celebrate a birthday on this cruise. Everyone of us were extremely pleased with the music, food, cruise and crew! Everything exceeded our expectations! It was a fun, lighthearted evening with the backdrop of extremely good blues! How lucky can you get to have this right under our noses!!
