This tour was loaded with info about the area and several noteable characters. I really enjoyed a close up look at the bridge.

Only criticism is the lack of transportation from one venue to another. Would have been nice to have that taken care of us as a package

Informative Interesting Tour!

We planned to take a Sunday 9:30 tour but the boat had mechanical problems. We hung around for the 11:30 tour but it was a no-go also; and they were not sure about the 1:30. We left and decided to return on Wednesday 6/4. We arrived around 9:15, boarded the boat, and off we went with 12 other people! We really had the boat to ourselves. The weather was great. The tour was fabulous. The narrator told us so much information, both historical, and interesting. We cruised by the city, Battery Park, the cruise ship area, the forts, the aircraft carrier, the big bridge, & the container ship areas. The captain was sure to point out dolphins and other sea life. It was a very enjoyable 90 minute tour. We did this as a combo tour with Boone Hall Plantation. Boone Hall was okay. Only saw a few rooms on the first floor. The historic talk by the Slave Cabins was excellent. We did not go on the tram ride. I would recommend these tours, especially the harbour tour. We took a carriage ride/tour last year. It was wonderful.

Better Narration would help

We liked the trip, although it rained so we couldn't use the top deck. However, the narration by the cap'n of the sights sounded extremely "canned' and could stand improvement.

Grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed both the water tour and carriage ride! Got their "money's worth" of questions answered -- we would recommend to anyone travelling in the Charleston area, to get the combo ticket -- and enjoy all the history -- we love Charleston and it's always a joy to visit!

Our group included a 16, 17 & 19 year olds -- they enjoyed all the sights and had a very nice time. We even saw several dolphins that included a mother and baby dolphin. We would do this again,

Great Way to See Charleston

We loved the working plantation tour. It made history come alive and the guide was so knowledgeable and gave us not only the history about the plantation but also explained all of the crops that they grow today. The Harbor Tour was also great, taking us past Fort Sumter, and the mansions on the water..a great view of the city. And we LOVED the carriage ride - the driver was full of historical information about the houses, etc. We loved all of the tours and highly recommend them to others. If I could only do 2 of the 3, I would see the plantation and take the carriage tour.

Good overview of Charleston

As a first time visitor to Charleston this was a great introduction at a very good price.

The first thing we did was the harbor tour which was informative and fun. We were able to get a good idea of the history of Charleston and the sights of Charleston.

We next went to Boone Plantation. that was our least favorite of the tri-combo. The plantation house was only three rooms, the furniture was not special (in fact I have the same type of living room chairs and dining room in my home). We did enjoy viewing the nine slave quarter homes and the live show very much. A cafe was shown on the brochure but there was only a small shop that had a few sandwiches. The ride around the plantation was less than we expected, driver was not informative but rather unpleasant complaining about what he was showing us not being right.

We saved the carriage ride for our last morning in Charleston and it was a great way to end our trip. We had a very good guide. She described everything we passed, told us some amusing stories about the area, and was very educated about the past and present history of Charleston. It was a perfect way to end a wonderful vacation.

I highly recommend this tour. It was a great introduction to Charleston,

Both portions of tour were excellent. Especially enjoyed walking tour since more personalized. Guide was VERY knowledgeable and pleasant. Would take tour again on next visit!
