All three parts of the trip were excellent. The carriage ride was comfortable and the guide was knowledgable and courteous. Same with the harbor ride. I was excited to see pelicans for the first time and also cormorants and other ocean birds which I had not seen before.

The plantation was very good too. Excellent presentation on Gullah language and culture. The slave cabins were all mini museums which were well done. The house tour was good too with a very good guide.

OK cruise to kill 2 hours of your time, if you have plenty of it. Otherwise rather spend it on other more close-up activities. The cruise is, however, good to get a glimpse of Ft. Sumter, if you are not interested in getting a detailed walk-in visit.

Great intro to Charleston

We only had a day to spend in Charleston so we decided that a combo tour was the way to go. We had hoped to do the triple combo tour which included a harbour tour, city carriage tour, and a plantation tour but we didn't have time to do all three. If we had more time we definitely would have selected that combo as there is no restriction on when you take two of the three tours. I believe the harbour tour was the only one that required a booked time. We still did the combo harbour/plantation tour and it was a great introduction to the city of Charleston. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we are now planning a longer vacation there next year and you can bet we'll be doing more tours!

We were a group of 6 women traveling from Canada and I had booked this combo package online with a bit of research. We were staying downtown so this is a bit out of the way and a ride was not provided. It was a really good package and because there was 6 of us the taxi was only $20 each there and back. The Boone Hall Plantation was very interesting and had lots to see at your own pace. Self guided tours except for the house.

The boat tour was enjoyable and also very informative.

We had just arrived in Charleston the previous day and had arranged to start our first full day with this tour. The tour was informative and we learned a lot about Charleston and it's historical past. We had been to the Fort across the river and this tour allowed us to learn more about the Civil War and other battles which have taken place here.

The commentary was well informed and the style was easy to understand.

I would recommend this tour to any visitor to Charleston.

The boat tour was great.... provided some commedy during the tour. I recommend travellers take this tour early in their stay in SC as they provide a great deal of history plus suggest places to see including the free sites, etc. If I did it again I would take notes. We did get to see dalphins first from a distance... then looking over the side of the boat they were right up close in the wake the boat was making.

During the house tour at the plantation, my sister got ill.... we had to take her outside and cut our tour short. We think it was the strong smell from the flowers in the house and other tourists perfumes. We did drive around the plantation and took some pictures (weren't sure if we were allowed to do this, but it allowed her to see this as she really was interested in the plantation).

I would recommend this tour...

Thanks for making it affordable.

A very informative trip on a beautiful day.

Had a beautiful view of Charleston and surrounding areas from the sea. The captain provided us with an interesting history of this part of the South during our trip and staff were very friendly. The only drawback was the long wait in the sun without seating for people who arrived earlier than the 15 min. requested in the brochure. Not sure why we could not board as we arrived.

Would recommend to others.

Dissapointing Harbour Tour

We were very dissapointed in the Harbour Tour. We had hoped to see more of Charleston from the water viewpoint. I had been to Charleston before on a visit and was anxious to see it "from the other side" to show my wife the stunning beauty of the city.

The first 10 minutes were great but then we went out to Fort Sumter and never really returned to the city itself. We are not American and although we appreciate the significance of the setting we felt far too much time was spent getting out there and coming back. When we returned it was to look at decomissioned ships, interesting but not a great visual treat.

However my wife and I loved the Boone Plantation visit including trolley and house tours The staff and guides were quite charming and at times amusing. .It was wonderful to get a sense of the 250 year history of the site.

All in all, we found that tour much more genuine and engaging.

Tour would have been more pleasant with a few fewer people. There were folks wandering around,

complaining about not having seats.
