My name is Theresa Nemetz, and I combined my love for Milwaukee and my husband's love for great food to create Milwaukee Food Tours. Inspired to do so by my great-grandparents, Guiseppi and Rosa, who 100 years ago immigrated to Milwaukee from Santa Flavia, Sicily. Milwaukee has a rich Italian, German, Irish and Polish immigrant history, its an honor to be able to share the stories of the exceptional immigrants that brought our city to life.

Celebrating our 6th anniversary in 2013, we are Milwaukee's premier, original and award-winning tour company. Our tours provide the ideal combination of food, culture and history too!

I am a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA), an alumna of Future Milwaukee 2009 and have served as a culinary speaker at a number of tourism-related conferences. We even recently won the 2010 Governor's Rising Star in Tourism Award! Credentials aside, at Milwaukee Food Tours, our passion is firmly rooted in food and in Milwaukee.
We are proud of two pieces of commentary often provided by our attendees: “I’ve lived here my entire life and never explored Milwaukee like I did today” and “I was expecting a tasting but this was a full meal!” Whether you are a Milwaukee native, visiting the city on your own or traveling as part of group, you will not be disappointed.  We consider our tours a progressive meal with a side of history.
Stories from Milwaukee's culinary scene are plentiful, and I invite you to immerse yourself into our culture in a fun and intimate way by experiencing a Milwaukee Food Tour. Come hungry, and be inspired!

Bon Appétit!

Fun group activity
Sun, Jul 26  10:30 AM Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Attended: Bloody Mary Brunch Tour
We had a great guide, Kim. She was fun, helpful and had a great attitude. The bars/restaurants were accomodating to our drink order if you didn't like Bloody Marys. Our only disappointment was the quantity of the food offered; it was pretty sparse, and one restaurant only served french fries. You go on this tour for the drinks, not the food; but I would recommend it. Just know this ahead of time. Look for a coupon before purchasing tickets.

Great lessons for Locals!
Sat, Jul 25  6:00 PM Female 40-49 Local Couple on a Date
Attended: Milwaukee Pizza Bus Tour
Steve, our tour guide, has great energy and enthusiasm. Loved his stories and content as he talked about the history of Milwaukee and pizza. Learning about the backgrounds of the restaurants was my favorite part - I am always eager to appreciate the small businesses and the stories behind them, and Steve did a great job of bringing them to life. Great selection/variety of different types of pizza to try, and the restaurants were wonderfully accommodating of a group of 22 people. No chance of leaving this tour hungry!

Attended: Old World 3rd St. Food Tour
Recently went on the Old World 3rd St. Food tour with my husband and loved it. Our guide, Robert was very personable and had vast knowledge of Milwaukee. Every restaurant was ready for us when we got there and there was a great selection of good food. Would highly recommend.

Sat, Jul 25  12:30 PM Unspecified 50-59 Local Couple on a Date
Attended: Old World 3rd St. Food Tour
I took my husband on the tour for his birthday. He and I are foodies so we like to try different types of food. We enjoyed all of the food on the tour and our tour guide Robert was very knowledgable. We plan to return to try the other tours soon.

Knowledgable tour guide and great food.
Fri, Jul 24  11:30 AM Female 60-69 Combination Family Without Children
Attended: Brady Street Food Tour
Damian had a wealth of knowledge about Brady Street. History and current information about the area, the people, and the revitalization of the area provided an interesting background to the wonderful food we sampled. We will visit the area again sometime, staying for full meals, bakery, and shopping.
