My name is Theresa Nemetz, and I combined my love for Milwaukee and my husband's love for great food to create Milwaukee Food Tours. Inspired to do so by my great-grandparents, Guiseppi and Rosa, who 100 years ago immigrated to Milwaukee from Santa Flavia, Sicily. Milwaukee has a rich Italian, German, Irish and Polish immigrant history, its an honor to be able to share the stories of the exceptional immigrants that brought our city to life.

Celebrating our 6th anniversary in 2013, we are Milwaukee's premier, original and award-winning tour company. Our tours provide the ideal combination of food, culture and history too!

I am a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA), an alumna of Future Milwaukee 2009 and have served as a culinary speaker at a number of tourism-related conferences. We even recently won the 2010 Governor's Rising Star in Tourism Award! Credentials aside, at Milwaukee Food Tours, our passion is firmly rooted in food and in Milwaukee.
We are proud of two pieces of commentary often provided by our attendees: “I’ve lived here my entire life and never explored Milwaukee like I did today” and “I was expecting a tasting but this was a full meal!” Whether you are a Milwaukee native, visiting the city on your own or traveling as part of group, you will not be disappointed.  We consider our tours a progressive meal with a side of history.
Stories from Milwaukee's culinary scene are plentiful, and I invite you to immerse yourself into our culture in a fun and intimate way by experiencing a Milwaukee Food Tour. Come hungry, and be inspired!

Bon Appétit!

Great way to spend a Sunday Morning

Attended: Bloody Mary Brunch Tour
This was a really fun tour, even in the rain!

Our guide was great and was very knowledgeable about the Historic Third Ward neighborhood of Milwaukee. Which I think is a huge part of a culinary tour. Nice to learn the history as well as enjoy the food and drinks. The only suggestion I could offer is that the food offerings could be a little more "Milwaukee-centric". Like Brats, cheese, etc. but everything was very delicious.

Awesome food, awesome guide

Attended: Milwaukee Pizza Bus Tour
The places we stopped were fantastic - the tour made some great choices as to where we sampled the pizza, as it gave us an opportunity to try four different types of pizza throughout the city. Robert, our tour guide, was awesome. He was funny, had great stories, and knew so much about the city. I loved this tour and would love to try more of them. I will definitely be recommending this to friends.

Thought three times would be the charm...

Attended: Brady Street Food Tour
This was now my third tour, and unfortunately it was HORRIBLE! The first 2 tours (pizza and churches and chocolates) were amazing. We paid $45 to walk around the city, the food samples (or lack there of) were very disappointing... Really 2 olives and a slice of deli meat us suppose to wow us? I would highly recommend you skip this tour and try a different one...
