Great history learned

The history of the area is great. Our tour guide was awesome, very into the area and loves her job. We were a bit disappointed that we only received a small glass of beer and the rest of drinks were water. Food was good and will go back to a few of the resaurants/bars we visited.

Wondering how this costs $50 per person - I feel like we ate about $15 of food and I got the feeling that the tour guides are volunteers. Our tour guide, Kristin, did do an excellent job though and seemed very knowledgeable about the third ward.

Our food tour of the Third Ward was amazing, primarily due to our wonderful guide! She was so positive, cheerful, enthusiastic and beyond excellent. Not only did she teach us about the history of the city, but she helped everyone get to know each other and have fun! I did not expect that the food would take a back seat to the tour! If I had to offer any constructive criticism, it would be that the individual courses did not seem to go together to form a complete meal. But I would go on any tour with Kristen again even with food that doesn't mix :)

My husband and I were part of a large group. Some members were locals and the rest of us were out of state tourists. Interesting history of Milwaukee along each stop. The food was great. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic, friendly, and helpful. Our group of 17 (18 with tour guide) was rather large. I would recommend that the Food Tour think about making the groups smaller in size (no more than 12). My husband and I hope to participate in another food tour in the near future.

Great tour of 3rd Ward

Our group consisted of wife and I and three adult children plus 2 spouses. Jean was a tremendous guide with interesting information about the restaurants, food and historical sites in the 3rd Ward. We had a great time at Spin, playing ping pong and Jenga. The food selections were marvelous and well planned from start to finish. I look forward to taking other tours offered by Milwaukee Food Tours.

Entertaining and Educational Tour!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

From soup to pizza to gourmet cheese sandwiches to Turkish chicken kebobs to the whiskey ice cream, our group strolled from place to place. In between the food stops, we paused at historical vantage points, as our guide shared brief overviews of charming facts about the Third Ward and Milwaukee. Why is Milwaukee called the "Cream City" for example.

Of particular note was the fact that our guide had arranged for a gluten-free option at each of our stops for my wife when appropriate. All the alternatives were as delicious if not more so than the regular fare. We really appreciated the sensitivity shown to us.

All in all, the tour was money well spent.

Nicole was our tour guide and she did a great job. She was very friendly and knew alot about the area. The restaurants served great food. I reallt enjoyed the yummy grilled cheese sandwich at Spin. I took my grandmother on this tour when she came to visit from Atlanta. She enjoyed it but was really tired from the walking. It wan't alot, just a few blocks between stops. Our group wasn't large, only about 10 people. They were all friendly and we had great conversations. I highly recommend these food tours. They are a great way to learn the history of the area and also get a taste of great food too! Our tour guide was very knowledgable about the history of the area, even though she just started doing the tours and she also had great suggestions about places to eat. I will definitely be back to try out the rest of the tours as more guest come to visit. This is the third food tour that I've been on and I've enjoyed them all.
