Fun Activity to do on the Weekend!

Took my husband for his 30th Birthday as something different during the day. We both had a great time! I thought there would be little samples and we all would take a bite from the same plate. Not at all! You sit down as a group and they serve you a small sample from there menu. I walked out stuffed. I thought there would be beer at every stop but there wasn't. Might be fun to go with a bunch of people you know because you'll be with them the whole time eating meals together. Well worth the price and it took up the full 2.5 hours. Juliette was very nice.

We are honored that the Third Ward tour was part of your husband’s birthday tradition this year! We are glad to know that you felt satisfied after your restaurant stops. Maybe next year you could look into the Pizza Bus tour for your husband’s birthday, or our Craft Breweries & Cocktails tour - you can even invite friends/family to enjoy the celebration with you!

Delicious Food

All of the food included on this tour was delicious. I would have liked to hear a little about each item from either someone at the restaurant or the tour guide. We were told what each item was called but nothing more than that. It also would have been nice to see a menu at each restaurant. One last thing, it would have been nice if the wait staff asked if we wanted something other than water to drink at each restaurant.

Milwaukee Food & City Tours responded:
Thank you for coming out on one of our tours, as well as for your feedback. Although, all of our guests are welcome to order more drinks, typically that is done at the bar. We will work with the restaurants to suggest that they take drink orders table-side as well.

Very enjoyable and informative.

I am originally from Milwaukee but have lived in the Chicago area for many years. My family all gathers in Milwaukee for the holidays and we are always looking for something fun to do. Milwaukee Food Tours was recommended by a friend so I looked into options that were available on Dec 26. We decided on the Historic Third Ward tour as it seemed to offer a nice balance of history, culture and food.

Overall we enjoyed the tour very much. Our tour guide, Tyler, was friendly and informative. He made a point of chatting with everyone in the group which was a nice touch. The selection of restaurants and food served were all very good. However, I do have a few suggestions for improvement. I think it would have been nice if at each stop the chef or other representative from the restaurant described the dish we were served, why it was selected and other relevant info about the restaurant. It would have tied things together better. Tyler gave us a bit of info, but I would have liked more detail. Also, a waiter should have been available to take drink orders in each location. We had to walk up to the bar at Swig to order an additional beverage.

I will definitely recommend Milwaukee Ford Tours to others and most likely take another tour myself as I'm in Milwaukee

I treated the family to this food tour and we all had a great time. Our guide, Marie, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun. She paced the group just right to keep us moving without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Milwaukee.

We really enjoyed the tour! Food was excellent and plentiful. I would have liked a bit more history but we did get a good understanding of the area. I would highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was very friendly and helpful with recommendations after the tour.

Milwaukee Food & City Tours responded:
Thank you for your feedback! All of our tours aim to tell the history of the area.... the Historic Pre-Prohibition Bar Tour visits 100 year old bars and tells you about the coming of beer and Pre-Prohibition in Brew City, and the Milwaukee Pizza Bus is a fun mix of the history of pizza and history of Milwaukee!

Food was excellent--loved knowing the history behind the renovations of the old buildings and why certain restruants opened in that area. Very knowledgeable tour guides. Will do it again with my family.
