New facet of Milwaukee

My daughter and I found a new part of MIlwaukee that I had not been aware of, even though I have lived here for over 40 years. I used to visit this section of town when it was warehouses to buy things on sale. Now I will plan on taking the family to see the renewed area of town that has delicious food and memories.

Could be Better

Our guide was a very polite and intelligent woman. I think she needs a little more practice with this tour. I have been on other tours with your company and found them a lot of fun, but more importantly very informational about the area that we are visiting. She often seemed at a loss for words and used words like neat and interesting over and over. She would often be talking to the group as she was walking down the street in front of us and no one had any idea what she was saying. My 16 yr old son had a question at one of the restaurants about his food and she called him "weird." I know she didn't mean to but he was very embarrassed. She didn't have a lot of history or facts to offer about the area. Again, I think she can do a better job maybe just study the history a bit more and know what she is going to say.

I will still attend your tours and recommend them. When family and friends are in town I love to take them because, not only do they enjoy seeing our city but I always learn something new.

Great tour

Our tour guide, Katie, was amazing. She was very enthusiastic about her city and the food/entertainment in the third ward. The food samplings were varied and tied in with the history of the area. Playing ping pong between beers was different. I highly recommend it.

A unique and fun night

Not wanting to have a traditional "wild and crazy" bachelorette party, we had a Historic Third Ward tour as part of a "girls night out". We had seven in our party and everyone absolutely loved it. The guide was great; food was delicious and it was a great value. All of us left saying we want to do other tours in the future!

Very pleased with the food tour in The Third Ward. We went on a rainy Thursday evening and still enjoyed our experience. The guide was very good in getting the group to know each other and told us many interesting things about the area. The food was very good and satisfying.

Tour guide great, food needs attention

Our guide was excellent. Very personable and attentive. The food at some of the restaurants, however, was lacking. Specifically, the chicken kabobs at Tulip were dry and tasteless, and the only item served at EVO were cheese curds and a small beer. My mom went on this tour previously, and the stop at EVO included tenderloin sliders, so the curds were a bit disappointing. I'm not a huge eater, but the total amount of food left me needing a snack afterward.

Informative tour, mediocre food

This tour was fun, and our guide was great. The food is not what we expected considering there is much better third ward dining than the sites we visited. The stop at Evolution for cheese curds was very Wisconsin-y, but we were disappointed by the quality and atmosphere that this site provided. Additionally, the food at Tulip was a simple chicken kabob that many people could make themselves at home. The tour could have much better stops at more unique restaurants. We did learn a lot about Milwaukee and enjoyed the experience, mostly due to the enthusiasm and knowledge base of our tour guide. Would definitely recommend this tour for any out of towners hoping to learn about Milwaukee and try some WI food and beer.

Fun and Good Value

I's describe the tour as like a progressive lunch, walking from one place to another for a series of tapas dishes. Well, actually, they are quaint, charming restaurant spots where you enjoy fine appetizers. The tour experience was fun, but I must say the information about the neighborhood and the history of the dishes was often not accurate, but fun just the same. The food and tour was good value for the price. We'd love to go on another of these in the fall.

My husband and I enjoyed the colorful historical tidbits along with great food samples.

We would have enjoyed a simple map with our stops marked so we could return to them later.
