The tour guide brought intriguement and passion with each stop on the tour. I learned a lot about the history of Milwaukee I was not aware of before. The guide was engaging and created an atmosphere of fun.
Milwaukee Food Tours responded:
We are glad to hear that and thank you for joining us on our Third Ward tour. All of our guides have their own style and we think they are one of the most important elements of our tours. If you liked Robert you should check out our Brady Street route. All of the guides on that route are well versed and have historical and personal stories to share about the neighborhood. We hope you check it out!

Four of us did the food tour as part of a birthday weekend, and it was great. Jean was a wonderful guide -- engaged and engaging without being too much. We learned a lot, the food was good, the walk was pleasant and very doable, and it was a great experience to share with friends.
Milwaukee Food Tours responded:
We are glad to be included in your birthday plans, thank you for joining us. We agree, Jean is a wonderful guide and one of our most seasoned vets. If you liked the food and walking distance I would suggest the Brady Street tour in the future. Lots of tastes and awesome guides to boot!

Excellent guide, enthusiastic, friendly, great information. Only criticism is that it could have had a little less time at each stop.
Milwaukee Food Tours responded:
Thank you for coming on our tour of the Third Ward. We always appreciate your feedback and like to hear that you enjoyed your guides. If you like the idea of more of a tasting tour with shorter stops, you should try our Cedarburg Sweets and Treats tour this summer. Bring a sweet tooth and an appetite!

Fantastic food & sites

The tour: food and sites were fantastic. We did not linger at each location otherwise we would run out of time. It did not seem like a lot of walking due to all the stops. The historical information was interesting & the stops were real gems, something you would not find by yourself. Marie, our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Marie recommended some places (shopping & eating) to go after the tour.

I would go back and see another tour, and seek out some of the restaurants from the food tour on my own. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Our tour guide Rebecca was fun and very knowledgeable about the history of the Third Ward. The food was tastey and it was fun learning about the history of the area. I definitely would take another tour with this company!

It was a unique way to try different foods and learn a little history, meet some different people and get outdoors as well as indoors. It was a big hit for our second date. We had a very good time as we also got to chat with each other and the group while walking about.

Good Not Great Experience

My friend and I decided to do a Food Tour in Milwaukee because we have done about 5 of them in other cities. With both of us being from Milwaukee originally, we did not expect to learn anything new about the city we know and love, but our Tour Guide, Jean, was amazing!! She did a great job of presenting information about Milwaukee and the restaurants we visited in a professional, but clever manor that kept us very interested! We would recommend this tour because of her! Great job. What made the tour part only okay is the amount of food and drink we got on the 3rd Ward Tour. Like I said, my friend and I have done a few different food tours in Seattle and Minnesota and at each stop they typically provided a small 4-5oz. glass of beer or wine to accompany the food. I thought that since this particular Milwaukee tour was $50 per person, we would have at least gotten more to drink than just a small 4oz glass of beer at one of the establishments. For the amount of money spent, we both did not feel as though we had enough which is the rating of "good" but not "great." I would recommend this tour to a person who has never done a food tour because you will not be disappointed because you will have nothing to compare it to, but for a seasoned food tourer, you may not like it as much!!
