40th Birthday Party

I was looking for something fun and different to do with a group of friends for my 40th birthday. This was awesome! Getting to try new restaurants that I would maybe not have tried on my own and having the historic facts with it was icing on the cake! The food was delicious everywhere we went and Marie, our guide, was a lot of fun! Definitely will do it again- perfect idea for when guests come in to town or for a date with my husband.

Delicious Food

All of the food included on this tour was delicious. I would have liked to hear a little about each item from either someone at the restaurant or the tour guide. We were told what each item was called but nothing more than that. It also would have been nice to see a menu at each restaurant. One last thing, it would have been nice if the wait staff asked if we wanted something other than water to drink at each restaurant.

Milwaukee Food & City Tours responded:
Thank you for coming out on one of our tours, as well as for your feedback. Although, all of our guests are welcome to order more drinks, typically that is done at the bar. We will work with the restaurants to suggest that they take drink orders table-side as well.

Totally enjoyed the tour. Look forward to trying the Tosa tour this spring.

This was our first tour that our group had gone on so we weren't sure what to expect, but we all had a fantastic time! I myself having Celiacs disease was a bit worried as to how the tour was going to go. Our guide helped out tremendously. She was on top of everything and very attentive to my needs. Which put my mind at ease a little! We will surly be doing another tour! Thanks for the good time!

Thank you for the review and sharing your experience. We work hard to accommodate to the dietary restrictions and allergies of our guests, which can be challenging at times. I would suggest checking out our Old World Third Street tour next if you enjoyed the Historic Third Ward. We lead you down the cobblestone streets of Milwaukee's old German neighborhood. This is another route that we can adjust the food if necessary. We hope to see you soon!

The tour was interesting but overall the food was very basic. $50 was a bit overpriced.

Our energetic guide, Marie, did a great job of guiding us through the neighborhood and the food was great! I would highly recommend the food tours!

Was really hoping for something more. We were expecting a food tour specializing in Milwaukee flavor or at least interesting food worth revisitng. Unfortunately, we did not receive any of that. The ping pong bar was an unexpected find, but the chicken soup in a styrofoam container was a major disappointment.

We attended a food tour in Chicago and really enjoyed it so we thought we would do it again with our 2 colllege-aged sons and their girlfriends in Milwaukee. Despite an unseasonably cold and snowy evening we all had a great time. We had a 'perky' informative tour guide that kept our spirits high with crumby weather. We learned many interesting facts and history about the 3rd Ward while we stopped for quick bites to eat and drink. The food was just OK but the dessert (chocolate mousse) was outstanding. I would recommend this tour.

Jean was our tour guide and was terrific. There were 15 in the group. The food was good and we had plenty to eat. made new friends. Can't wait to do the historic bar tour!
