This was fantastic!

I just moved to Cambridge from Nashville, TN and this is one of the first things I've done to learn about the area. I enjoyed it tremendously. Michelle is very very knowledgeable and respected by the community and was the best experience I've had since I've moved to the area. I highly recommend this culinary tour.

An absolutely exceptional experience! I took my daughter-in-law and we both thoroughly enjoyed the history, the food, the shops, the hidden gems. Chef Linda inspired with her knowledge and enthusiasm. Can't wait to go again!!

Fantastic tour led by Linda

We lucked out with a beautiful Friday to be outside and the North End was hopping all day. Linda was a fabulous tour guide - personable, knowledgeable, and clearly part of the fabric of this neighborhood. The samples along with way were great and I thought the tour was extremely moderately priced considering how much food we were given. Ending at the liquor store was a lot of fun as well. I'd recommend this tour to anyone interested in Italian American culture, food, immigration history, or just enjoying a stroll in a gorgeous section of town.

We've visited the North End for many years but Suzy's enthusiastic background and knowledge provided a wonderful learning experience about the breads, oils, meats, cheeses, olives, balsamic vinegars, pasta, apperitifs... We highly recommend for the experience as well as the knowledge you will take away.

Great tour and great guide

The tour was a great way to learn about the history and culture of the North End, the differences between Italian and Italian-American food, and how to prepare Italian food. Our guide, Beth, was very knowledgeable, clear, and personable and made the trip overall very enjoyable. As a vegetarian, there were a couple of samples I could not try, but most samples were suitable for vegetarians (although not vegan). We were able to meet natives in the North End that run their own shops as part of family tradition, which was a special experience, especially given that I'm a first-time tourist to Boston. The food was very good. The samples are small and there are plenty of them, but it's best to eat a light lunch a bit beforehand because it's probably not enough for a full meal (especially given the amount of time and walking). Highly recommend to anyone interested in Italian food or native Bostonian culture

This was a wonderful tour that gives insight into the North End culture and background. I wish we had a smaller group, but it definitely is a tour to be taken toward the beginning of a visit to Boston, so that you can return and enjoy the area.

Memorable tour with great information

I was not expecting such an informative tour of the North End. I half expected to be eating tons of pasta but it was very authentic Italian products and we discussed the differences between Italian and Anerican-Italian foods (as I have lived in Italy I know the difference). My group had mix of non-cookers and people who love to cook. We all cannot wait to go back to the North End and try some of the things we learned about. We were stuffed after the tour. We tried a variety of breads, oils, cured meats, olives and cheeses, bakery items, some incredible sandwiches at a shop, different items like nuts, fruits and some spirits. It is a great way to spend a half day and you really get to explore the North End and appreciate it. Our tour guide Beth knew so much and you could tell she loves what she does. I would highly recommend this to all adults whether or not they are foodies.

I love to cook and eat, so this tour was so much fun! I enjoyed visiting places that I may not have gone to on my own. I also really loved learning more about Italian cuisine. I now feel like I can go back to the North End and visit the type of places that will make me feel like I am back in Italy. Thank you!

Our leader was very well versed in the area and in cooking and food. She was even a prior pastry chef. Other reviews mentioned that in their tours there was not much food to eat. I couldn't disagree more. I thought it was a great three hours spent!

Excellent, well thought out tour. Tour guide, Beth, very knowledgeable, informative, and accommodating. We were able to actually meet and talk with shop owners in the North End and learned a tremendous amount about North End history as well as Italian foods. Excellent samples were provided at most stops. This tour was the highlight of our Boston trip.

Growing up venturing to the North End under the former 93 overpass and then living in Boston for the past 5 years I thought I knew all that there was to know about Boston North End- boy was I wrong! Great tour, enthusiastic guide, learned a lot about Italian and American- Italian cooking, wine as well as "neighborhood gems". Would recommend if you are coming to Boston for 1 day or have lived here your whole life!!!
