As Bostonian, we weren't sure what new information we would learn about the North End, but the tour was informative, entertaining and delicious!

Fun, Informative, and Very Useful Information

We've lived in the area for 25 years and eaten and shopped in the North End, but this was very enlightening! So much that we DIDN'T know! We will be much smarter shoppers and eaters going forward. The historical context was also very interesting, and our 20 something kids, one of which lives in the neighborhood, greatly benefitted from understanding it. They will be much more interesting dinner guests, for sure!

The North End Food Tour was fantastic. My wife and I are life-long Bostonians and we have been coming to the North End for dinner for years and years. We thought we knew the area very well. In less than thirty minutes into the tour we were introduced to a part of the North End we never know existed. We walked down a very narrow alley to find a the most wonderful panetteria and salumeria . The entire tour was filled with such gems.

I loved the walking tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and took us to places we would have never, otherwise, explored. I learned so much and tasted some excellent samples of pastry, cheeses, bread, etc. I would highly recommend this, especially for those who enjoy cooking!

Excellent way to learn about the North End

We were not sure what to expect of this tour, as it was a gift. We went as a group of four and were part of a tour of 14. We had a great time experiencing the North End's history, authentic foods and stores and sharing in the experience with a very well educated tour guide. She led us through a culinary journey that gave us a taste of Italy and left us wanting more. Can't wait to go back to try some of the restaurants recommended and re-visit.

My husband and I were in town on business for the week and decided to stay in the North End. We had a friend who had been on the tour a month earlier and recommended it to us. Michelle is a super guide with great knowledge of the area. She was such a delight and the information she provided on the shopping and eating in the area proved very useful during our stay. I would highly recommend it! Such a great way to learn about the history of the area and sample the treasures that it holds.

Wow!!!!

This is a must see if you even slightly enjoy food. The ins and outs of the food stores in The North End by our guide Suzi made this a fantastic adventure. The knowledge of how and why things are so much better than the box stores was willingly and gladly explained and tasted. I will do it again on our next trip.

Suzi was a well organized and well informed guide, who educated us about the North End, cooking and eating! We picked up some history and now have a better understanding of Italian specialty items, olive oils, pastas etc. It was a beautiful day and the shop owners were welcoming as well. Good value and fun!

Michele is a fabulous tour guide - she knows the food, she knows how it's made, she knows the neighborhood, and she knows the people. Her tour touches on all of these things, and it's a delight to learn more about love of food and an amazing neighborhood really means. I'm in my late 20s, and I brought my 50-something parents from out of town - everyone had a wonderful time. Michele is a great speaker, and she's just bursting with interesting facts and local knowledge. Strongly and unreservedly recommend.

A taste of Little Italy

Wow, what a great tour. We went into local pastry shops, delis, bread stores, markets, and wine shop. Our tour guide was a pastry chef and had worked in various restaurants in Little Italy, so she was extremely knowledgeable about the foods and preparation. We had tastings in each location, which made you hungry for more. I would highly recommend.
