Beware and premedicate if you have the slightest propensity towards seasickness. Seas can be rough with large swells...all in all well worth the $$ and nausea. Many whales very close and knowledgable kind staff. Clean bathrooms and plenty of seating (inside and outside). My autistic adult son was thrilled and wants to go again.

My fiancé and I Loved it!!!

This was one of the most exciting experiences done on our trip threw-out California's Central Valley/Bay Area tour.

My fiancé came here (To California from Aschaffenburg, Germany) for a bit of fun, sight seeing and a taste of what our beautiful state has to offer before she makes the transition to permanent resident and The Monterey Whale Watch Tour did not let us down :D

I myself have served 6 years in the U.S. Armed Forces, and still continue to serve today from my home of record.

I have seen quiet a bit of the world but California is my home and there's no place like home.

The Monterey Whale Watch Tour, not only recognized my service and honored it by discounted fare, but provided me with the most incredible experience I could ever have asked for.

A great view of the Monterey Bay from the sea, the sighting of not 1 but 2 blue whales and the most important part of all. Time together with the one I love in a comfortable atmosphere.

The staff of The Monterey Whale Watch Tour were very friendly, knowledgeable, professional and helpful along the trip.

If I were to have any complaints about this trip at all or could provide any help to others.

Always look into the time of year you will be traveling and what the weather will be at your time of your trip.

Monterey is not always the sunniest place around but thankfully, with proper planning we had a spectacular view and the seas were very kind to us as well as the wildlife.

Always take Dramamine or Bonine Tablets 24 hours in advance as well as the day of your trip if you are sensitize to motion sickness, are unsure or traveling with children under 14 as they are susceptible to motion sickness much easier than the average adult.

And don't forget to pack a bit of extra layers of clothing for your trip. It's beautiful out there but there are strong winds that can be a bit chilly when you are at sea ;)

I would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in marine life, family fun, a great view and a great time.

...But Ye be warned and take heed to me words. For they may save ya from a bit of a chill from the bite of the sea and a sickened belly and the end of the day.

I'm sorry. I couldn't resist. Lol

Whale watching is great if your stomach goes along

My husband and I went on an afternoon excursion on the 3rd of July. I'd taken dramamine prior to the excursion, knowing I'm prone to motion sickness. About an hour in, I was suddenly very ill and hung onto the railing for the remaining two hours, along with probably 20 other sick individuals. I felt terrible for the other passengers who had to see and hear the results. It is completely my own fault for going on the excursion, but I didn't see anything in the online brochure for the company mentioning motion sickness being a potential problem and I might have thought twice about it if I'd known. For instance, one passenger told me that morning excursions generally see calmer seas. I don't know if that's true or not, but again I might have chosen differently if that information had been made available. We did see quite a few whales, the crew was excellent and if you have a tough stomach, by all means I would recommend the tour. If you tend to get sick easily though, you're probably better off avoiding this one. I was never so glad to get off a boat in my life.

whale watching we did !

Oh we saw some some whales. The trip was fun, and the boat was nice and clean. But do take a pill so you don't get sick. I have sailed for over 18 years and I still took something for my stomach and glad I did. But there were only about 30 people on board and almost 15 were stick, the boat drifts for a time while you are watching the whales and then the sick starts. Anyway The trip, Host could talk quite a bit less. Lets put it this way, A LOT LESS. The captain knew where to go and the whales put on a show. I saw other boats from a distance and it looked as if they were always searching to find them. What else to say, I would use them again but make sure everyone with you takes something for sea sickness, makes the whole trip more fun. By the way, don't look at the other people on board while they puke this can also lead to sickness. Taking a morning cruse is best, HAVE FUN!

Awesome Experience!

Although I am not a big fan of ocean excursions due to motion sickness, I thoroughly enjoyed this whale watching trip. We saw about 13-15 whales including a Blue mother and baby whale and many Humpbacks. I highly recommend Dramamine (which I took) because my husband, who never gets motion sick was feeling queasy on the return trip. In addition, it was COLD COLD COLD! Those who did not take enough layers were very sorry! I definitely recommend this experience!!

I'm lucky enough to be local, so intend to do this again. A great experience. This specific boat had a very enthusiastic captain, who made the trip fun, entertaining, and educational. Highly recommend.
