Fantastic experience

We left on time and traveled for 45+ minutes to the area where all the whales were...near Moss Landing.

Not only did we see many whale (none breached ) but there were many sea lions. There were several kinds of jellyfish and a large mola.

This was my 4th trip on the Princess Monterey company. Each experience has been wonderful. And, this last trip WS with my daughter and granddaughters from Florida. ..their 1st time... they loved it.

Everything was just perfect. The way you welcome your customers, the boat, the crew, the guide.

Full cruise but not crowded. Everyone even small kids could relax and enjoy the wales. Thanks

A Fun Trip

Seeing humpback whales in their element was very exciting. We saw at least 25 different humpbacks feeding and resting over the course of about an hour. This was my first trip, and I will be coming back as soon as I can!

Whales can be elusive, but we have always had a great experience with Princess Monterey and would recommend them to everyone! They treat their customers good and are very communicative about weather, possible cancellations of cruises, and options to try to still get you on a cruise the day you booked.

Most likely an awesome experience if you get to see various whales up close. We just got to see a few humpback whales at a distance. The guide was awesomely enthuisiastic though.

Far Exceeded our Expectations!

Several months ago, we went whale watching from Moss Landing. As we had out of town family members with us, we decided to go again and treat them to the experience. Wow - what an amazing tour we had. We saw so many whales! The captain really knew how to find the active humpbacks and get so close as safely possible to them. We had an amazing time.

The only thing we did not prepare for, was how cold it would feel (at 10:00am) getting out to the site where the whales were gathering that day. Freezing cold wind in our faces (mid-June). It definitely warmed up when the sun burned off the fog - but before that - brrr !! All agreed it was worth a bit of cold to see these beautiful huge and graceful creatures! No one in our group was seasick either - but we made sure to stay outside in the breeze to prevent it - and brought crackers for the queasy bellies.

We did get to see a lot of whales, I saw them from across the boat through 2 sets of windows. This was my 2nd time w/ Princess and I will go else where next time. We were the last ones out to the "hot spot" and the 1st to leave. I know we paid about $5.00 more per person which is not going to break the bank but when you wait on the boat forever to leave so they can fill to capacity then get out there and it is so crowded you are stuck on your side of the boat. Which you never know which is the good side or the bad side. We were out for about 20 minutes and they could not wait to get back to shore. All the lesser price boats did not come in for at least 45 minutes after us. I know this because we waited to see which one to go on next time. They had cancelled the afternoon whale watching because of weather. (so they say) We were by far the largest boat out there and never seemed to get as close as the other boats. I totally understand the whales are unpredictable and out of there control but you can tell they have done this a 1000 times and all with the exception of Kathleen were just bored with their job. Get them on and let's get this over with attitude. Kathleen was the best! If it wasn't for her they would have gotten a 1 star. I personally give her a 5 star. She is fun, knowledgeable AND LOVES HER JOB!

We enjoyed experience with this cruise. We were told that the water was a little rough before we boarded and rough it was. The rough water did not bother our family but it did bother a lot of others.

The guide was very informative but sometimes hard to hear all the information. We did see 7 different whale. No breaching. I wish we could have stayed a little longer. It is well worth the money. We have paid double the price on whale watching off different cruise lines. I can't wait to do this again
