Great cruise, lots of humpback whale "tail slaps"

Sailed with a large pod of common dolphin (probably a couple hundred) on our way north to find the whales. Very cool. Many Humpback whales sighted with a couple putting on an extended show with continuous "tail slaps". My wife, 15 year old daughter, and myself all really enjoyed the cruise. I would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful Day on the Monterey Bay

Our party of eight used Princess Monterey Bay Whale Watching Tours for an afternoon of (hopefully) seeing dolphins, whales and other sea life. We were not disappointed. We saw at least 6 whales and hundreds of dolphins and sea lions. We spent 3 hours on the ocean and had a great time. The pilot knew where to go to find the mammals and once we got there we were joined by a couple of other tour groups. The weather was excellent (got lucky) and the boat was good size and not full of people which made the tour much more pleasing. The sea had 6-8 foot swells so we were rocking a bit but that added to the ambiance. We would recommend this tour company to others.

Fantastic experience!

My daughter (25) and I had an absolutely wonderful time. The excitement began almost immediately as we ran into a group of hundreds of dolphins. Shortly after leaving the dolphins, we came upon humpback whales feeding. Although none breached the water, there were many tail slappings and near-breaches. Due to all the fish near the surface, we also saw around a hundred pelicans feeding, as well as penguins! There were also many sea lions throughout the entire tour. The Captain was excellent, as was the tour guide. Every staff member on board was friendly and helpful.

I think we must have hit a very good day due to the numerous sightings. We took over 800 pictures, and we ended up with over 100 that are excellent. I give this tour 11 stars out of 10!

Very satisfied with cruise. Have taken other whale watching cruises in Monterey and Princess Whale Watching Cruise has been the best. Highly recommend.

Fantastic whale watching. Hated at the gate $20.

Really good guide and whale watching. Hated finding out at check in you had to pay $20 more to be top side. I would gladly pay more on my reservation but to be told it's an "upgrade" at check in is a gimmick.

The whale watching was a blast! The marine biologist was amazing and grabbed the attention of everyone on the boat. Did everything possible to see as many whales as we could. We also saw a family of Dolphins! I would go again in a heartbeat.

before signing up for the watch, i was really skeptical as i have really motion sickness, motion sickness such as going on a roller coaster or driving up to yosemite national park would make me dizzy and sick. But this being the first time for my family, I wanted to be there to experience it. I took two generic motion sickness pills and purchase a box of gins gins (which was given free to me by the nice man at the counter) and was set to go on the ride. I have to say it was a rather pleasant experience. I felt only a bit dizzy when the boat had stopped to observe the whales but nothing that made me too sick. we saw lots of whales and the weather was perfect! Overall the experience was great and i didn't return sick. :)

We live north of San Francisco, close enough to do this whale watching cruise again in the future. The moderator (naturalist) was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and informative. Clean, well maintained boat and excellent captain. Took all the measures recommended by Zerve in preparing for the cruise (i.e. layered clothing and anti-nausea medication). Felt well prepared. Fantastic excursion!
