Highly recommend this whale watching trip. Be sure to allow time to find parking if you are doing this on a busy holiday weekend.

Started off seeing the seals and sea lions, 1st set of dolphins seen were kinda boring because they didn't move much. Saw a couple of Humback's! That was great, they were kinda far away so u needed a good camera for some decent pics. Then we saw some Grey whales which was also great but same thing, kinda far away. The trip ended with bottle nose Dolphins following the ship very closely, jumping out of the water and playing around, very nice! Definitely worth the $

1st trip was in June, 2012; cold with light rain - it was awesome, so much better than expected. The Naturalist was enthusiastic and friendly, we saw a bunch a whales that came up very close to the boat. 2nd trip was in Feb., 2015; sunny and warm - it was good. Saw a few whales; hundreds of dolphins and seals, whale portion wasn't as exciting because we were quite a distance from the whales. The Naturalist was good; informative and friendly. I feel like this company is a safe bet; great boats, heated cabin with (cash only) snack bar. PLEASE TAKE THE DRAMAMINE. Do not try to white knuckle it, take it, err on the side of caution and enjoy your trip. Both times we took the lowest dose of OTC Dramamine (meclizine) and carried ginger candies and extra pills just in case. Both trips were very enjoyable for us but the boat will rock. Be prepared. Don't be like the sad souls that are uninformed or choose not to take it necessary precautions. We will definitely return!

We enjoyed our trip. While we saw whales, they were pretty far from the boat. We did see hundreds of dolphins close up and that was fantastic. The owner was very kind as we were totally stuck in traffic, even though we planned with lots of extra time. He rescheduled us without hassle to the later trip.

This was a great way to spend the day. The captain of the ship did his best to keep up with the whales that were spotted. Then to top off the day, a group of about 100 or so dolphins came up to the boat and played in the wake all around us! Very exciting. I want to commend the owner of this company for being so flexible. We got caught in traffic on the way down there and he changed our reservation with a smile. I would definitely use this company again!! THANK YOU!!!

Best idea I've ever had. Whales, dolphins, and sea lions made this valentine's day a real win.

We had a good time overall and the experience was interesting, but the lack of whales made me doubt whether it's really worth it. Not their fault for sure.

We saw some whales and some dolphins. I've done three whale watching tours now, two with smaller boats and one with a large boat. This one was the large boat. I much prefer the smaller boats because of better access to the biologist and less crowding at the rails when there are marine life sightings.
