Doesn't have anything on the Sex and the City Tour
Sun, Aug 2  10:00 AM Female 20-29 International Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Attended: Gossip Girl Sites
I have done 3 on locations during my summer in new york and this was by far the worst value for money. The tour guide (Rachel) was lovely and really did know her stuff about the show but both of the other tours (NYC Movie and SATC) give you a little snack during (b&w cookie/cupcake) - So I don't know why she is holding a box of macaroons from laduree n the promotional picture - and you get discount vouchers in your leaflets etc this tour didnt have any of that and the stops were so quick and there were so many of them. The bus was much older than the buses for the other tours and the air conditoning and tv screens werent quite working propperly. If you are choosing between Sex and the city and Gossip Girl tour with on Locations, DEFINITELY go with the sex and the city one!

What a great tour for my "Gossip Girl" loving daughter! Our tour guide Madeline was fantastic! We appreciated her enthusiasm, commentary, and video clips along the way. Although I've never seen the show I thoroughly enjoyed it too.

Sex and the City Tour
Sat, Aug 1  3:00 PM Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children

Great experience - so glad I did it! We got to see Carrie's brownstone, The Pleasure Chest, O'neials Bar (Steve & Aiden's bar Scout), Magnolia Bakery, and the fountain in front of The Plaza hotel where many scenes from the movie were shot. While riding in the air conditioned tour bus I was able to see a ton of other places from the movie: Bergdorf Goodmans, Tiffany & Co., New York Public Library, and more! We enjoyed (free) cupcakes and were able to purchase a Cosmo from O'neials for $10. Our tour guide was awesome - she knew everything about Sex and the City and made the tour fun and memorable. Overall I would suggest this tour to any true Sex and the City fan!

Ahh if only the microphone worked

Could have been a fun time if the microphone worked and did not frustrate the tour guide. She had a good schtict going except the microphone kept fading in and out and she could not get it to work consistently. It disrupted her rhythm, which made our experience frustrating.

Slightly disappointing

DVD screen in front of us didn't work properly so it meant either craning neck to try and see screen at very front of bus ( not that visible), or leaning over friend to see screen on opposite side of aisle (not particularly polite).

Microphone on bus cut in and out the entire tour. Tour guide had to repeat nearly everything she said and even then it was not clearly audible. I would have thought that the tour operators would have checked that these two integral items for the tour would have been fully functioning before sending that particular bus out for the tour or......maybe even send another bus!!!!! Disappointing when it really could have been quite a good tour
