Great day, great tour guide and great locations

We arrived at the bus location at 9:30 to be greeted by Vito with his soparanos memorabilia, we paid extra for the VIP seats which I highly recommend as we had a great view of the city from the front seats. Our tour guide Marc was very enthusiastic and highly knowledgable of all things sopranos related. He even did some trivia questions that kept the group entertained. The locations were just as we expected and Marc was very descriptive in his explanation of the scene. Followed up an actual clip of the scene from the show. We had more than enough time at each location to take photos and ask questions. We really enjoyed the onion rings and Holstens and the beer at the Bada Bing! Great tour and it more than lived up to our expectations.

Historic Trip Down Sopranos Memory Lane

I thought the tour was excellent. It revealed what the experience of working on a large project was really like. The tour brought back a heap of old memories and made me want to re watch the entire series once again. Some of the locations shown were of real value to the trip including the pig store, the cafe where Chris was shot and heaps more.

The tour also pointed out some flaws in the series which I failed to notice the original time, so that was interesting.

My overall experience was a great one and I would recommend the tour to all Sopranos fans.

Can't praise this tour enough!

I've just returned home to Ireland after spending 7 nights in New York. The highlight of my trip (of which there were many) was The Sopranos tour.

I thought the tour was absolutely fantastic. I wasn't expecting to see so many locations and filming sites from the show. Highlights included a visit to the diner outside which Chrissy gets shot by Matt Bevilacua and Sean Gismante; Richie April's social club; the Bada Bing (now called Satin Dolls); the diner in which the show's finale was filmed (with free onion rings to boot!); AJ's school; Big Pussy's body shop; the area under the bridge where Chrissy pays off the 2 black guys after the hit on Carmine is cancelled, only to have them subsequently murdered; the dock where Paulie attacks Dick Barone's son and where Chrissy suffers a mock execution. The trip from NYC to NJ, via the Lincoln Tunnel, emulating Tony's drive throughout the opening credits, is also fantastic!

Despite the multitude of locations and sites visited, the undisputed star of the show for me was the tour guide, Marc Baron. Marc actually featured in several episodes of the show and is exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about The Sopranos. Not only does he transmit this knowledge and passion, he also goes to great lengths to make the tour constantly interactive, dynamic and stimulating. Throughout the duration of the trip, Marc continually tosses out trivia questions, including questions for prizes! He also provides endless trivia nuggets of his own, the actors' back stories, 'inside stories' from his time on the show, and other witty and informative anecdotes. I also loved his laconic, off-beat delivery and laid-back, unassuming style.

Another huge bonus of taking this tour is that you get to meet Joe Gannascoli, who plays slain capo Vito Spatafore on the show. Joe is very friendly and is happy to pose for pictures. He also sells some merchandise from his car. I didn't purchase anything from Joe, but I did shell out for two pint glasses and a shot glass at the Bing towards the end of the tour!

In summary, I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone who is a fan of The Sopranos. It surpassed even my most enthusiastic expectations.

I'm really grateful to Marc for how he brought the tour to life; he did an absolutely wonderful job.

Thanks again!

Jack, Ireland

Can't praise this tour enough. From photo opportunities with Vito at the start all the way to the Bada Bing, Marc Baron made this a tour of a lifetime. Insightful knowledge and trivia delivered all the way made the sopranos come alive

Great tour and met one of the cast from the show!!

when we arrived at the coach meeting point we were greeted by our guide and introduced to Vito from the show!!

After this great start we visited a variety of major sites (holstens, bada bing etc) as well as smaller sites such as the location where Christopher was shot coming out of the diner and AJ's high school near Newark.

What made the tour for me was the knowledge of our guide (who had actually appeared as an extra on the show). His behind the scenes info and detailed knowledge of the cast and crew were what set this apart from simply driving to these locations your self.

In summary I'd wholeheartedly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our trip!

An absolute MUST for any true SOPRANOS fan!!!

A Sopranos tour had been on our bucket list for a long time, and my husband made it happen. We planned on using our GPS and finding the sites on our own (with the help of the online fan sites that tell you where most things are located). We went to Elizabeth, NJ and saw Manolo's (the original Vesuvio's), Centanni's Meat Market (used in the Pilot and, later, as the inspiration for Satriale's), and then decided last minute to pay the $$ and sign up for the tour. IT WAS AMAZING!! Our tour guide, Marc Baron, was an extra in 13 episodes and knows a ton of inside scoop! He arranged a surprise meeting with Joe Ganascoli (Vito Spatafore), and took us to MANY different sites, including The Bada Bing and Holsten's where we sat in the seats previously occupied by James Gandolfini. The tour cost $50 and was worth FAR more! We both agreed that we would have paid just to sit in a room with Marc and hear his stories. After the tour was done, we drove out to North Caldwell, NJ (the locations of the Soprano's home and the home of Johnny Sack), and to Verona, NJ (the home of Livia Soprano). We even took Marc's advice and went to see the play, "A Queen for a Day" starring Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy), David Proval (Richie Aprille), and David Deblinger (Dr. Katz--one of Uncle Junior's doctors); we got to meet Proval afterward--Pastore was off for the weekend. If you travel before July 26, 2015, be sure to check out this powerful play and meet the actors. In short, don't hesitate to pay the money and do this incredible tour!! You'll NEVER be able to see and learn as much in your own...trust us on this one!! Thanks, Marc Baron!!!
