Even Better Than Expected

This trip came highly reviewed by a family member who is very picky, so I had high hopes. It turned out even better than I expected. My friend and I were visiting three of our friends that live in NYC and decided to go on the pizza tour together. When we first arrived, we realized that Scott was a "morning person", so we quickly grabbed coffee to perk ourselves up a bit. Scott is incredibly passionate about pizza, the history, the nuances of making it, everything. Ask him as many questions as possible, and he will completely impress you with his vast knowledge, but never in a condescending way. The pizza tour is so much more than just going out and having a few slices of pizza, it's a while learning experience, where you discover a whole history you never knew existed. Scott is incredible.

I enjoyed the bus ride, the people on the bus, the passion Scott had for pizza and for sharing his passion and knowledge about pizza, I loved the snow storm and the ride to the Bronx. It was just a special day with special memories in a part of the city that I usually don't get to see.

We had a Pizza-tastic Time!

I organized a get-together with my classmates from the High School of Art & Design, and we had a Pizza-tastic Time! We even had a friend who came in all the way in from Virginia with his son for the day! The pizzas that we ate that day were all delicious, and we even ordered an extra pie from Luzzo's. By the time we got to Brooklyn, we all had a pizza coma, but it was worth it -- it was an incredibly fun day! My friends and I cannot wait to do it again!

Scott is a GREAT guy and SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE in the history, products, trends, and culture of pizza! Great to see a young gentleman with such knowledge and passion for the ART of PIZZA! Would highly recommend the tour to people of all ages! I recommend doing the bus tour on Sundays as you will get to see and taste more and it is done by Scott himself!

The pizza was delicious of course. I was truly impressed with the "journey" through pizza history we took. Loaded with fun facts and enthusiasm, this pizza tour was awesome.

Scott's Pizza Tours is a great way to discover which type of pizza you prefer and is a terrific way to see parts of Greenwich Village and Soho (the one we went on). There were only 3 in our group, which made it easier for us to ask as many questions as we wanted. Our tour guide, Miriam, made it more fun than I expected and she is extremely knowledgable about pizza and its history. My only caveat is that if you have trouble walking, you may want to take the Sunday tour, which is a bus tour.

I went on the Crosstown Pizza Walk with a friend and two others, guided by Scott. It's fair to say the man is a genuine pizza enthusiast and that enthusiasm was so infectious! This was about more than simply a great slice - it was a lesson in history, geography and science. Loved every minute and will never look at my favourite food in the same way again. Cheers Scott!

All you ever wanted to know about pizza

We met with Scott on a bitterly cold Monday in February. He was friendly, open, approachable without being too chummy.

After five minutes we forgot the freezing temperature and were spellbound. Scott loves what he does and conveys that in a truely enthusiastic manner. He took us into pizza kitchens and pizza restaurants both nice and dark. He told us all there is to tell about dough, sauce, cheese, toppings and let us taste and compare it. I never thought that Pizza Margerita can be so many things!

The most fun thing was the pizza kit which he gave to everyone of us. Be surprised.

We had a great three hours. I can recommend Scott´s Pizza Walk wholeheartedly!

I had been wanting to the pizza tour for years before finally having the chance. It surpassed my lofty expectations with flying colors. Scott was an amazing tour guide and the four places we visited were all wonderful. I never would have known to visit those places and thoroughly enjoyed the whole tour.

If you love pizza, this tour is a must. If you only like pizza and want to see some cool places in New York, this tour is still a must. I can't wait to go again.

Excellent Tour - very informative

It was a very cold February Saturday when we met our guide. We were privileged to have him all to ourselves. He had a wonderful and easy going personality and paced the tour well. We visited three distinctly different restaurants and sampled 3 styles of pizza. We learned about pizza ovens, crusts, tomato sauces and mozzarella and the origins of pizza. I will never be able to eat another Domino’s Pizza again. Each sample of pizza was delicious and our guide educated us on the ingredients. He made you really think about your slice….I felt like I was at a wine tasting! To be honest, I had never thought that much about pizza before and now my husband and I feel like aficionados. Be sure to arrive at your tour hungry..... You will be rewarded!

We had a great time on our pizza tour with Alexis. He was super knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The chosen restaurants were a hoot. Some old school, some newer. The pizza was great, the information interesting, and the time was well spent. I hope to take another pizza tour in the future.
