Alexis is super!

Alexis knows and lovvvvvvvves pizza! He is very engaging and inclusive, appealed to the young and mature in our group, and made the tour fun in all aspects... the pizza we sampled, the spots we visited, and the local Brooklyn/NYC flavor. Fantastic way to spend an afternoon.

I'll keep it short and sweet. I did two other tours while in NYC and this was by far the favorite one for both me and my wife. Give it a try and I know that you will not be disappointed!

We were not sure what to expect, the tour was recommended by a co-worker who has been on two of Scott's tours. It was a lot of fun, extremely informative and the pizza is the best. It gives eating pizza anywhere a whole new perspective. Would highly recommend! even our kids 13 - 18 yrs enjoyed it.

If you love Pizza go. If you like Pizza GO!!!

My husband loves pizza -- the making of it, the study of crust and all things Pizza. So I planned this tour for him. And it was 100% on point! The information is great. The food was great...the company was so diverse it was awesome. People from Scotland and Australia and places more local.

Scott makes it exciting and interesting and he is just a great guy! The Bus Tour is something I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting NYC. It is something different - out of the ordinary and a taste of NYC that you won't find in a museum or park. Quirky. Fun. Informative. Laughs. Food. One of the best tours we've taken on our vacations/getaways.

I highly recommend Scott's Pizza Tours as a fun, fact-filled adventure into discovering one of New York City's gems: pizza. New York City has such a rich pizza history, and the tour guides bring this history alive. And the pizza is delicious!! Highly recommended.

Real historical discovery
Sat, Jan 30  11:45 AM jhenzelin Male 30-39 International Tourist(s) Group of Friends
We had a blast listening to Alexis which was, also from an European point of view, really accurate about the history of pizza and the way of doing an incredible pizza. We passed through 3 very different types of pizza (Napolitana, American (the good one) and Sicilian). Finally, we learned that all tastes are in nature. And for a Swiss, the only weekness in NYC in term of pizza is the cheese.... ;) But highly recommended for everybody.

Great Review of Different Styles,History,Chemistry
Sat, Jan 30  11:45 AM Ljed3333 Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
This was not designed to be a Battle of the Pizza Joints, nor can it be. No one knows what kind of pizza you like.

It was a great sampling of different styles - different ovens (wood fired, coal modified with gas jets, gas), different cheeses (wet v. low moisture mozzarella), and crusts (thin v. Sicilian).

I learned the secret of NY water, why the NY Fold, and why NY to begin with as the modern center of the pizza world.

2,000 NY pizza shops; probably 2,500 ways to make it. The journey of 10,000 miles begins with a single step . . .

Time Well Spent on a Saturday afternoon
Sat, Jan 30  11:00 AM christinam29 Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
My friends and I had a great time on the Original Crosstown Pizza Walk. Our guide Cedric was awesome - he was very knowledgeable, super enthusiastic and made the tour fun for everyone. We stopped at 3 pizza places, including and America's very first pizzeria! All of the pizzas were delicious and it was also fun to learn the history behind the origins of pizza, how it made it's way from Italy to the US, and what makes every pizza different. Absolutely recommend this for any pizza enthusiast (or really anyone) - it was a great way for us to spend a Saturday afternoon in the city!

It is a cant miss gem of the city.
