Pizza in detail

Jared was our guide. He was incredibly enthusiastic about pizza and it really showed throughout the tour. We learned a lot about the history of pizza in New York. Tour might be a little long for young children.

I was waiting my whole life for this experience. Although I have not found the perfect slice, Scott supplied me with all the education and enthusiasm I need to continue my quest. Pizza is life!

A great way to spend a few hours w. the folks!

Our guide, Alexis, was charismatic and kept all of us engaged in what we were experiencing and would be experiencing at our next destinations. He was also able to reel in my (Long Island) mom's personally a bit and have fun with everyone inside and outside the 3 locations we went.

I took my parents on this tour as an anniversary gift (dad used to work at a pizzeria back in the day) and it was a lot of fun to do something interactive w. them instead of the usual dining out experience.

It was a lot of fun and I'd highly recommend it to friends and apparently internet strangers.

Awesome for tourists and locals alike!

We took our pizza-obsessed friend on the Brooklyn walking tour for her birthday gift, as she had recently moved to the neighborhood and was on the hunt for some good local spots. Turned out to be just as much of a treat for us as it was for her! We loved the tour - learned so much about pizza's history, techniques and institutions, and discovered some amazing NY secrets that we'd never have known about without the tour. Alexis, our guide, struck that very rare but fantastic balance between personable but not pushy: he was informative, passionate and funny, but never made us feel like we were on a regimented tour or time line. Would definitely recommend for both locals and visitors.

My group of 17 consisted of high school aged Girl Scouts and their parents. Both the kids and adults enjoyed learning about the history and evolution of pizza while being entertained by our tour guide Scott. He took us to three different locations where we tried three very different styles of pizza.

We learned the history of pizza, and how to judge a slice: crust, cheese, sause. But, the type of oven is also important. Miriam (she was hilarious, btw

The tour was great! The pizza was delicious, and Scott was so enjoyable to be around. He can answer any question, I don't know where he stores all of his information. The pizzas we had were some of the best I have ever eaten!

We had a fantastic time with Scott. His enthusiasm for the matter in hand is infectious and the tour is a fun, informative and tasty way to tour a small part of old NYC. I'd thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone.

Great time, great food, and great conversation

I did not realize how fascinating pizza was until this tour began. Joe was fantastic and the conversation was a perfect blend of formal and informal. I was there with a group of 6 for a birthday and we had such a great time debating on which pizzas we liked the best and why. It was a great way to see a part of the city I had never explored while eating a food that is impossible to dislike! Great event for a small group or a bigger group and I will definitely be back.
