Pizza a Casa Pizza School rated excellent on Trip Advisor, Yelp and Google:
“Phenomenal pizza, Phenomenal fun.”
“Our favorite NYC experience.”

"The time flew by and the class was worth every penny!" says: "I'm not just talking about learning to make pizzas at home. I'm talking about making pizzas that are better than 99.9% of the pizzas you'll ever have at a pizzeria or delivered to your home. Pizza a Casa will teach you how to make them."
The NY Daily News says: "Pizza a Casa founder Mark Bello has mastered a recipe for dough and a method for getting his oven appropriately hot. The results are on par with what you get out of the city's better pizza shops. Better still, they can be reproduced in any kitchen."

Voted Best Pizza by the Village Voice:
"That's why the pies that Mark Bello teaches his students to make at Pizza a Casa are such a revelation. Bello doesn't use a fancy oven (it's set at an attainable 500F), but the crusts that he conjures up are as crisp, chewy, and delicately charred as anything served at a restaurant-- and the best part is that you can easily make it at home."
Entrepreneur Magazine says “Mark Bello perfected the pizza, then built Pizza a Casa Pizza School, teaching pizza-crazed New Yorkers how to do it themselves.  Last year The Village Voice declared Mark Bello's pizza one of the three best in NYC-- and this in a city with more than 1,800 pizzerias.”

Outstanding class. The instructors, Neil, Dano and Elani (sp?) are great people, personable, and even more knowledgeable. Not only do you learn to make pizza, you have FUN. The class size is perfect, allowing sharing of stories as well as sampling each other's pizza. One of my best birthday presents ever! Look at the pictures on the website(s); everyone is having fun and making some great looking pizzas...these are real, not staged! If you ever happen to be in NYC Pizza A Cassa is a MUST.

If you're looking for a way to master from-scratch pizza making, want to have a blast doing it, and want to enjoy doing it with someone you love (or a good friend) - then this is the class for you! The instructors provide an easy-to-follow curriculum that touches on all aspects of making your own dough and sauce, how to source the best ingredients, and techniques to ensure perfectly baked and insanely delicious'll be amazed at your pizza crafting abilities after taking this 4-hour class. The time flies by and you'll thoroughly enjoy every minute of it, and since you'll be baking 4 of your own pizzas during the class, you'll be well fed too!

The instructors are experts in their craft, incredibly friendly and ready to dole out advice on any pizza quandary you might be facing. At the end of the class, you'll be provided with a booklet of step-by-step instructions to reference when you're baking at home (which came in very handy for us when we tried our hand at re-creating the experience at home the next night.) Those pizzas came out just as perfect as the ones we made in class.

The one small caveat - it's pretty tight quarters (you'll be nearly shoulder-to-shoulder with the couples next to you), but they seem to make this setup work very well, so don't sweat it if you think you're going to be bumping elbows with your neighbors. Everyone manages to work around each other, and the instructors do a great job of attending to everyone as best they can.

We loved this class and it exceeded our expectations - we can't recommend it enough!
