Our family of 7 had a great time. Good for novice fishermen- basic bottom fishing and we caught a lot of fish! Our group caught more than 70 fish including one large grouper! Deck hands were helpful and friendly! They worked hard.

If you are sensitive to smoke

Captain and boat were great- however if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke this would not be ideal for you. The deck hand is constantly smoking and people on the boat were smoking as well. Even sitting inside you could smell the smoke. My lungs hurt the rest of the day and that ruined a trip that would have been perfect.

1. Everyone I interacted with were very nice.

2. The boat was in excellent condition.

1. Had faulty equipment that wasn't realized until more than half way through trip that kept me from setting hook properly, resulting in numerous missed fish.

2. If you can clean your own fish, do so. The fillets you get from them are tiny, a lot of meat left on the fish.

3. On my trip, someone caught a blowfish. I made a simple inquiry into them not being edible and was told they were safe. The fish was then offered to me at dock by the person doing the filleting, and was again told it was safe to eat. He cleaned it and combined it into the same bag as my other fillets. When I got back to Condo, I looked up info on the blowfish, just as I expected, not safe to eat. Called Florida Game and Wildlife fisheries division to see if there is risk of cross contamination of my other fish fillets. They confirmed there was and that I should throw out all my fish that were in the same bag. What a TOTAL waste of fish!!!
Queen Fleet Deep Sea Fishing responded:
the "blowfish" we catch are in fact safe to eat. There are LOTS of species of PUFFERS. Of course any raw meat in the same bag can cross-contaminate. Did you tell the FWC representative what type of puffer you caught?
