For the past 100 years those words have been heard in and around Savannah, as Hollywood recognized that the ‘Hostess City’ was a perfect backdrop for filming. From silent movies to the original Cape Fear (1962), The Longest Yard (1974), the TV miniseries Roots (1977), Glory (1989), Forrest Gump, Something To Talk About and Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil (1990s) to The Conspirator and The Last Song (2009), plus the aptly named Savannah, filmed in 2011, are just a few.
Savannah Movie Tours' famous 90-minute narrated tour, including numerous film clips, will pass many of the most recognizable locations. This is a ‘must do’ tour for moviegoers of all ages. And maybe a stop at the world-famous Leopold’s Ice Cream for a treat to end your tour?
This is also a pet-friendly tour.
What Is Not Included?
- Ice cream at the world famous Leopold's is not included in the cost of the tour. Please note we do not stop at Leopold's on the morning tours as it is not open.

This tour is great for anyone into movies. The guide was friendly, knowledgable, and courteous. Not only did we see the film sights but we viewed scenes from the movies on a screen inside the bus as we arrived at each site. Very different concept. Inside scoops on where the actors stayed and other stories.
Good local tour guide

Good tour...we went on 2 tours back to back and he went over the movie info and showed a video but previous trolley tour also told us about movie spots, it was nice to be able to watch the video of what he was showing though. My husband loved it!
|Floridasha||Fri, Jul 3 3:00 PM||Female||30-39||Domestic Tourist(s)||Family With Children|
This was a great interactive tour. Our tour guide shared a lot more about Savannah than just information on the movies. He was very knowledgable.
Nice tour, not a luxury bus
|julienorrell||Mon, Jun 22 3:00 PM||Female||40-49||Domestic Tourist(s)||Family With Children|
The content of the tour was good. I enjoyed the trivia about the movies filmed in Savannah. However, our tour was on a 95° day and the air-conditioning on the bus was broken. I understand this happens, but no effort was made to change buses, no discount was offered, not even a cold bottle of water was offered. So we were miserable and stuck on a moving oven for an hour and a half. I think more should have been done once we knew the AC was broken.
Tour was a lot of fun and worth the money.

The tour guide was awesome. He was very friendly and nice. He had a wide range of movie knowledge. The tour itself was good and learned a lot of the history of Savannah movie history.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the movies filmed in the Savannah area and was enthusiastic about the tour. Only downfall was it was hard to see some of the locations due to the windows on the bus.
Great for movie fans

It was a little confusing trying to keep all the movies in mind since different parts of so many movies were filmed all over the city. But the DVD portions helped to keep the specific movie scenes in mind while visiting the actual sites.

Pretty good tour as you ride around historic Savannah reliving some scenes from various movies such as Forrest Gump and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. The bus can be improved though since the air conditioning didn't cool the bus till we were at least five minutes into the tour. But other than that, this was an interesting tour.

Our guide was incredible. He was knowledgeable and had great interest in the subject matter. Would definitely take the tour again.
