For the past 100 years those words have been heard in and around Savannah, as Hollywood recognized that the ‘Hostess City’ was a perfect backdrop for filming. From silent movies to the original Cape Fear (1962), The Longest Yard (1974), the TV miniseries Roots (1977), Glory (1989), Forrest Gump, Something To Talk About and Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil (1990s) to The Conspirator and The Last Song (2009), plus the aptly named Savannah, filmed in 2011, are just a few.
Savannah Movie Tours' famous 90-minute narrated tour, including numerous film clips, will pass many of the most recognizable locations. This is a ‘must do’ tour for moviegoers of all ages. And maybe a stop at the world-famous Leopold’s Ice Cream for a treat to end your tour?
This is also a pet-friendly tour.
What Is Not Included?
- Ice cream at the world famous Leopold's is not included in the cost of the tour. Please note we do not stop at Leopold's on the morning tours as it is not open.

My husband and I were the only ones on this tour and I kinda liked it that way. It made it so personal and I felt so comfortable with the tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about his movies and also gave us a history lesson as well. I would recommend this tour to any movie buff!

This was an informative and enjoyable tour. Prior personal knowledge of movies filmed in the area was helpful in knowing along with the information given by the Tour Guide. Enjoyed being told about a scene in the movie and then seeing that same scene on the TV screen and being at the same scene in real life. Our guide was pleasant . My husband & I did not realize how many movies were filmed in Savannah.
Not the best movie tour I've been on, but fun.

Our group were the only 5 on the tour, but the guide was a good sport and did a nice job.
Not Worth It

This was just not that good of a tour. If it was half the price that it was I might be OK with it. It had some interesting spots, but in reality there just haven't been that many big movies filmed in Savannah.
Fun time with family

Our driver Gary was friendly and informative. The clips perfectly show what you're seeing outside the window. This tour made me want to watch every movie we discussed and take every other tour offered in Savannah. Wonderful!

My friends and I took the 3 p.m. movie tour on Friday, September 19, 2014. The tour guide/bus driver was very knowledgeable about both Savannah and the movies that have been filmed there. Having the video screen to watch the film clips was indeed helpful. He drove the bus in a safe manner. Ninety minutes was probably the right amount of time to schedule for this tour.
