Charleston Schooner Pride LLC

Zerve Seller: SailThePride

The Pride is an 84 foot Tall Ship sailing in Charleston’s historic harbor. Each  sail is its own adventure. The Pride is a three-mast ship modeled after the old trading schooners that sailed up and down the coast during the great days of sail. She is comfortable with ample deck space and seating for up to 49. With the engine off and  sails full, she quietly glides along as guests enjoy the natural sounds of dolphins, gulls, wind and water, an experience that is both relaxing and romantic.

Our Daytime sails and Sunset cruises are  a favorite of tourists and locals alike. The Pride sails with the wind and tides, so there is no set course and every cruise is unique! Because we remain in the harbor, you can see all the sites of the area, but depending on the day, we get closer to some than others. The PRIDE is USCG certified for up to 49 passengers and  is docked  at the Aquarium Wharf.

Experience all the beauty of Charleston, the gem of the Palmetto State, aboard the Schooner Pride!

Not worth the money !
Tue, May 24  1:00 PM Female 60-69 Local Other
Attended: Afternoon Dolphin Sail
It is advertised as a dolphin saIl. The crew made no effort to search for dolphins and we saw two that were spotted by a passenger and not the crew. For $38 could go to Shem's Creek watch the dolphins in the creek and have a nice dinner . The crew was friendly but not given into talking about anything except the Ravenel Bridge . I have taken out-of-town guests and other companies and been much more satisfied . I do know that wildlife is unpredictable but it didn't appear that the crew even was looking. . They were friendly but compared to other tours I've taken in the harbor it was disappointing and cost a lot more money .

Thanks for taking our Afternoon Dolphin sail for taking the time to write a review. I would just like to point out that this tour is exactly as advertised and we intentionally do not narrate this sailing excursion as most of our guests want to have the time to enjoy nature, relax and reflect. The crew is happy to point out landmarks, answer questions or show you wildlife, but they are also sailing a very large tall ship. We apologize if you did not enjoy the sail. Perhaps our narrated harbor history tour aboard our motor vessel would be a better fit in the future.

Sunset Schooner Ride

Attended: Sunset Sail on the Schooner Pride
It was fabulous! The ride is not narrated, which we like. The crew was very friendly and answered any and all questions, which they encouraged the passengers to ask. The sunset was gorgeous! Our pilot did a marvelous job of sailing us around the bay. The two crewmen were very hard-working, friendly, and polite. This was our second sunset cruise. I look forward to my third!

A Relaxing & Beautiful Evening
Mon, May 23  6:30 PM Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Attended: Sunset Sail on the Schooner Pride
My husband & I enjoyed our sunset sail we took in mid-May. Neither of us had ever been sailing before, so it was a new experience for us both. Sometimes, we can fall into the trap of "go, go, go" while on vacation so that we can do and see as much as possible. This sail allowed us to do something new, different, and fun while also making us slow down, relax, and enjoy each other. We were also able to take some beautiful pictures of the sunset over Charleston.

Attended: Moonlight Sail on the Schooner Pride
I didn't know this was on my bucket list, but it was! Beautiful ship, pleasant crew. No narrative, just the beauty of sea and sky. We had the good fortune to have a full moon, warm winds and a very pleasant, unobtrusive musician serenading us. Was the highlight of our trip! Price was very reasonable. Out thanks for providing this opportunity.
