Best money spent in Charleston!!!!

I took my two boys (ages 7 & 12). This was our first boat tour of the ocean. We saw several dolphins jumping and they stopped the boat for pictures. The stop at the island was fun. We found crabs, oyster clusters, and neat shells. Someone in the group even found a Ft. Sum brick. A+ guide

Great tour despite yucky weather

My daughter and I really enjoyed the tour. We had to deal with the effects of Tropical Storm Anna so it was really windy and blustery. However the crew did a great job despite this and we even got to see dolphins. We couldn't visit Morris Island due to the direction of the wind but we still had a good time. Thanks to the captain and tour guide Rylee for doing a great job anyway. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We took part in the 9:30am nature tour to Morris Island. Along the way we saw several dolphins, a gorgeous view of the Charleston bridge, Fort Sumter, and USS Yorktown. Morris Island was fantastic and offered gorgeous views and a peaceful morning walk collecting shells. Our guides were extremely friendly and helpful with any and all questions. We had a great time and can't wait to go back!

Wonderful boat tour, my favourite thing that we did in Charleston. Apart from the early start it was thoroughly enjoyable. We saw dolphins, got to walk on Morris Island, looked in the crab pot and just generally had a nice time on the boat. The captain was a lovely person and the naturalist was great at explaining the eco system and wildlife and answering any questions. I would absolutely recommend this tour and I do think that it's worth every cent.

This was a wonderful activity for our family. We have three small kids and they loved seeing the dolphins and walking on the island. We collected some amazing sea shells and got a bonus of going by the Yorktown and under the Ravenell Bridge. Defintely recommend!

Guided Nature Tour & Cruise of Charleston Harbor

My husband and I went on the tour as part of a quick trip that we made to see the city of Charleston. The captain and his assistant were amazing. During the tour we were able to watch numerous dolphins swimming along the shoreline and even past by Fort Sumter. The captain and his assistant provided great information about the surrounding area, how the businesses in the area effect or support the environment and pointed out a few interesting facts about the city as we went by. The hands on part of the ride was great and they did an fantastic job telling us about the blue crab and the spider crab that were in the cage. Once on the island we had free range of the beach and the assistant was there to answer any questions that we had. The boat ride was comfortable and we were able to move around to take pictures. I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in learning more about the area or just getting out on the water to explore.

Fun day but not much nature

The cruise was a fun trip. I wish there had been a little more nature to see. I was hoping to see more animals and have a greater explanation of the birds and plants. I would have liked to spend more time on the water and less time looking for shells on the island.

Interesting but too expensive

The captain could not find the float for the crab pot. The lecture on whelk eggs, devil's purse, etc. was audible only b/c we sat in front of the speaker. The unescorted walk on Morris yielded little more than a free walk on Folly Beach would. To make up for the no-show crab pot, the captain lingered off the Yorktown and gave us the ship's history, which was a good substitute. Both the captain and the biologist were a pleasure to talk with.
