Fascinating tour made fabulous by oustanding guide
Tue, Nov 11, 14  10:00 AM Male 40-49 International Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Attended: A Culinary Walk Through Italian Greenwich Village
We attended the Savory Sojourns Food Tour of Greenwich Village in November 2014 with the delightful Addie Tomei. The tour provided a fascinating insight into New York's food history and the history and food culture of Greenwich Village. We were able to touch, taste and smell freshly cooked Arancini, artisanal cheeses and olive oil, but fresh coffee, tast freshly toated rye bread and finish with a stunning Italian lunch. Addie was gregarious, animated and knowlegeable which made the tour interesting, fun and unpredictable in the best way.

This tour is highly recommended.

This was my 4th time taking a Savory Sojourns walking tour with Addie Tomei. I'd previously done Hell's Kitchen, the Lower East Side, and SoHo/Little Italy. Each tour has been a memorable highlight of my visit to the Big Apple. Addie offers a fabulous way to experience NYC's neighborhoods - their culture, history, and culinary delights. She is warm, witty and generous as she shares her love for her city. She brings her background as a teacher to the table as well, making the outing feel like the ultimate field trip! Fun, fun, fun! And deliciously educational! I highly recommend Savory Sojourns.

Gourmet Trip with Addie to DUMBO
Sat, Oct 9, 10  11:00 AM Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Attended: Food and Gallery Tour of Brooklyn's DUMBO
Started at Vinegar Hill Restaurant. It was very special--both the food and the unique interior!

Too full to have dessert there....but not to worry, we ate chocolate, chocolate, and .......chocolate.

Pastries to die for and from...and did I say we had chocolate treats? And if that wasn't enough there was the ice cream at the end.

Needless to say the food was great....and an experience! But add to that a wonderful tour and insights of the area Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass. The buildings had character, the art was evident, the parks were luscious and busy, and the views were absolutely splendid!

We'll be back and take another trip to experience the many diverse sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of New York.

Thanks!!!!! Addie!!!!!!
