Entertaining and educational. Grandmaster Kaz is a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Great tour even if you aren't into hip hop. Fun to see movie locations in person and then see the movie on TV in the van. Teenage boys enjoyed it.

Being shown around town buy the man who wrote Rappers Delight was nothing short of miraculous! Grandmaster Caz is a living legend and meeting him as our guide and listening to his personal historical journey and undiluted account of major historical facts surrounding Hip-Hop and its pioneers was exhilarating. Simply the highlight of our stay in New York - and we did almost everything inside a week. Being shown around places we always dreamed about and revealing hidden parts of this famous city and its personalities, like where Dougie Fresh lives, and where Big L sadly lost his life, was magical. I hope Hush Tours grows to become The Defacto tour of New York's Rap lovers, so all the world can learn exactly how this movement grew into the scene it is today. Thank you to all that took part in presenting The Elements and made us feel so blessed to know so much more.

I didn't know what to expect as my girlfriend kinda pushed for this. She knows hip hop a bit from her kids. I don't consider myself a hip hop fan at all and have merely a cursory knowledge. I'm a classic rock dude. You show up at the location and you get in an air conditioned bus which has a big screen video monitor and a kicking sound system. Then Grandmaster Caz comes aboard. He is quite the host. He's one of the first hip hop guys ever being there at it's inception in the Bronx 40 years ago. He's starts by explain the foundation of what hip hop is: DJing, MCing, the dancing, and the graffiti. All this is interspersed with multimedia demonstrations as you make your way to the first stop. This was the Museum of City of New York. We went in and say a photo exhibit which featured our host. Next followed a dance demonstration which was amazing. Next we went to Harlem and saw the Apollo. Next to the Bronx and pointing out landmarks and graffiti art and even stopping at Yankee Stadium. Near the end we paid homage to Caz's marker on the Bronx hall of fame and then stopped again in Harlem at a Soul food palce where we were able to get our own fabulous lunch.

... but this really deserves one. If you're into hip hop and want to go to it's roots this is the tour for you. I would even say this is a great tour if you would absolutely hate hip hop, it might change your mind after it.
